My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Virginia Beach. We were craving Mexican food and WOW we were not disappointed. The server was so friendly. She seemed so excited that we arrived versus some other places that make you feel like you’re just just an aggravation on a slow day. The salsa was so fresh and tasty if you like chunky salsa. Let me just tell you the chicken chimichanga was the best I have ever had! It was topped with avocado slices and still came with guacamole plus a delicious sour cream sauce. It was served with a generous portion of black beans and rice. We were blown away. Exceptional service and food. I wish we had this in Ct!

Best food in Milton. Went here three times in two weeks. Margaritas excellent, food even better. The staff couldn’t be more gracious. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while.

Food is amazing. Margaritas are the best I’ve found anywhere. Atmosphere is nice and quiet. Usually their is no wait for a table. This is a wonderful addition to Milton! Consistently good food, drinks, and friendly service.

The food here was amazing. Quaint atmosphere and nice staff. Will definitely go back. And did I say the food was out of this world! My first Unilocal review and very worthy! Portions were generous as well. Was so excited to eat I forgot to take a pic of my food.

Excellent, creative, fresh, and tasty food. Excellent margaritas. I had the Alambre Argentino, and it was delish! The only negative about it is that the restaurant is small. And, when we were there on a Monday night, there was only one server working the whole room. But he was very hard-working, and we still had good service.

We went to Modern Mixture Too with another couple on a Friday evening. It was still quite early and there were tables open. We were seated quickly after a warm greeting and it wasn’t long before our waitress was asking for our drinks order. I had the margarita with basil. I can’t recall the name of it but it was excellent. Another at the table had the same drink and agreed. For our main course(we didn’t have an appetizer or dessert) I chose the Torta Cubana. For the others one went with the Torta Libanesa and the other two with the seafood chimichanga. I enjoyed my Cubana very much. It came with a kale salad which I had not tried before. That also was good. The Libanesa was also tasty. However the seafood chimichanga did not receive such good reviews. The complaint was that the seafood was rather greasy which presumably happened during the deep frying process. Both that had ordered it left half of the meal behind. One of those dining with us who has eaten at Modern Mixture Too on a previous occasion also said that when she had the chimichanga at that time it was also very greasy. Perhaps it’s best to avoid this particular dish. Throughout our meal the service was friendly and attentive.

Restaurant was packed, customers waiting to be seated were almost leaning up against our table, seemed understaffed. The couple sitting close enough to us to chat with was there before we were and when our food came out, they asked about theirs, only to find out the order was never put in. As for the food it was good, but nothing I would crave in the future, I will try them again to see if it has improved, but as of now I am not impressed, especially for how many people seem to rave about it.

The food here is absolutely divine. Had the flautas to start — I never would have thought to put feta on a Mexican dish but it was amazing!!! I had the alambre Argentino as my entrée and I can’t recommend it enough. So flavorful! Would have given five stars but you definitely can’t be in a rush if you come here. You have to wait a bit, for drinks and food.

This place is great! Try the nopalito salad… the pico is wonderfully fresh! The food is cooked fresh, by the owners! Cocktails are wonderful! And… I’m picky!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience here. The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Stephanie was our server and bartender and she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. She made us fresh lime juice margaritas with spicy salt on the rim of the glass that made me question my reality. I had to call Neil Degrasse Tyson to make sure the universe was still intact. He didn’t answer, but I soon came to and continued to revel in about two more rounds of a drink that would bring Jimmy Buffet to his Hawaiian printed knees. The menu is outstanding and offers great new twists on Hispanic and Latin classics. We shared the nachos which came in an ample portion. I consider myself a nacho expert, with a PhD in cheese studies and I they were so good I blacked out and saw Jim Morrison. I told him about the nachos but he was kind of a hater about it. Anyways, had the Argentinian Burrito. In summary, it was the meatpocalypse of my dreams. We polished off the meal with the chocolate cake. I haven’t found a tub big enough to bathe myself in it yet, but I’ll let you know when I do. Every second you spend not eating here is a second you will soon regret.

A really fantastic find! Was in town from Wilmington to see a show at The Feed Company and half-heartedly Unilocaled«restaurants nearby,» thinking that I would not find anything in little Milton that would blow me away. Stephanie at Modern Mixture Too quickly proved me entirely wrong. Our meal began with her very warmly greeting us and recommending the fresh Lime Margaritas with her specialty«spicy salt.» We could not have just one! Choosing from the many delicious-sounding Hispanic, Latin and fusion options on the menu proved a huge challenge, and no one in our party of four was disappointed! Plus, the servings were generous, allowing me to enjoy my delicious meal all over again the next day. Throughout the meal, Stephanie was wonderfully generous and attentive, pausing often to talk and laugh with our party. She was also so kind as to bring us a dessert on the house, which, like everything else, was exceptional. Modern Mixture Too is truly a must-go. I only wish I lived closer. I will undoubtedly be back the next time I find myself in Milton.

Modern Mixture Too is a great little addition to the town of Milton. I love the atmosphere and food here. Everything I’ve ordered from the menu is great. Leo, the owner of the franchise, along with the rest of the staff, are always welcoming and very friendly. My only issue would be that the prices of some of the dinner entrees are a little steep for the portions that you get. It’s a minor thing, because what you get is always good, but it’s something to keep in mind when you head in there for dinner.

What a great little place! Recommended by a nice lady at Dogfish Head Brewery, we stopped here for lunch after our tour. The fresh guacamole, made right before it came to our table, was amazing! I had the southwestern chopped salad was great! Aimee made us laugh and kept us entertained the whole time. Nothing better than giving my husband a hard time on his 30th birthday! I only wished we lived closer so we could hang out here all the time!
