I’ve been inside of Radio Shack stores maybe four times in the last year and I am always amazed that the chain is still around. High prices for commodity items does not seem to be a logical business plan, but somehow this company keeps going. Seriously, I wonder who in the hell shops here. They must be technophobes, unable to use Internet searches to find comparable products for a fraction of the price that RS charges. Are people really that ignorant and/or lazy? Yes, apparently they are. You can buy a charger for any phone on Amazon or eBay for $ 3 or less, shipped to your door. Radioshack? The least expensive charger that they stock is $ 19.99. Pfft. Screw you, Radioshack. I’ve spent that much on a charger before, but I was at the beach without my charger and had to resort to the convenience store’s predatory pricing. You folks aren’t exactly a convenience store, although, to a certain segment of American society, you must be the easiest option for lazy people that can’t be bothered to wait two or three days for their Amazon order to arrive. I’m actually offended by the prices asked by retail stores for chargers. These effers should have a box of bulk chargers for $ 5 a pop. It’s a frackin’ wall plug or cigarette lighter plug with a bit of wire… there are no moving parts and they all go bad with startling regularity. I’ve had HTC and Samsung chargers fail within months of purchase, so brand-name parts make no difference. crApple users will smirk, I’m sure, but I have friends that have had issues with their proprietary, over-priced, hipster dooshbag crApple chargers, too. Guaranteed, last night was he last time that I will ever darken a doorway at a Radioshack store. My absence won’t cause them any financial distress, but if their current customers pull their heads out of their netherparts, they’ll buy whatever they want from someplace else and RS will wither into bankruptcy. They deserve it. P. S.–Your TV commercials suck.
