When they are well stocked, you will love their offerings. Their bilingual staff are happy to help you in either english or polish. If you want European quality deli meats, this place should not be missed. Their spice bacon roll is to die for. I wouldn’t have thought to make a sandwich in the car from their sourdough rye and bacon rolled up with some sort of heavenly spices, but the bacon is smoked and the flavors brought me back decades to when I took a trip to Germany with my Grandfather. They also have some great spirits and a bavarian liver sausage that will put a smile on your face. Prices are reasonable and for the quality you’re getting, definitely fair.

Great place to stock up on your Polish grocery needs. Good selection of meats and cheese mostly brought up from Chicago(large Polish population). Good selection of Polish candies, juices, alcohol, pierogi, yogurt, etc. You can speak polsku or angielski.

Hey Milwaukee, you should get your dupa in here! A&J is a tiny Polish deli on 12th and Lincoln. It’s been on my «check out» list for awhile and we were in the area today so we decided to stop. If you’ve been to Old World Deli in Greendale, there’s a lot of similarities in both size and stock. Personally, I think the prices and the deli are superior at A&J. The deli is really why you want to stop — most(not all) of the dry goods can be scored at Cermak or the El Rey on Oklahoma. The deli, however, is pretty awesome — tons of(mostly) smoked sausages, multiple types of ham varieties and a good amount of Polish style cheeses. I didn’t see too much«fresh» sausages aside from kischka, but if you want fresh head over to the European Sausage House. A fair amount of the sausages are homemade, and many of the others are from Andy’s Deli in Chicago. We grabbed a pound of excellent ham for less than $ 5. They also stock candies, seasonings, cookies, some personal care items and a small amount of Polish liqueurs and beer. I thought prices were pretty good considering it’s a small shop. Alas, no paprika potato chips — it could be that they were out of stock though. This truly is a Polish deli — you’ll be greeted with«dzien dobry» and thanked with«dziekuje». It was quite busy when we visited and we were the only English speakers.(Staff does speak English and all deli items are labeled in both languages.) I’m a great lover of our city’s wonderful small ethnic markets and A&J is a great throwback to the«old days» when the neighborhood was primarily Polish.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt… maybe they were sold out of a lot of things by the time I went in there. BUT… coming from Chicago and being a Pole, this place was kind of embarrassing to call itself a Polish deli. The Polish deli’s in Chicago are like taking Poland and plopping it into the city and here you go… Polish food galore! At this location, there was no bread, the deli choices are very slim, no premade food(hot or cold) and a bit overpriced. Yes, maybe I am spoiled by the big city, but it just cannot be the best Polish deli in Milwaukee. The stuff I found here I could find for cheaper at Cermak’s grocery store in West Milwaukee. I wish I could have found a great Polish place in Milwaukee since moving up here, but honestly, I would rather drive back to Chicago and spend my money there.

Weather it’s imported, all natural Fruit butters and syrups, fresh baked breads or herring, This small Polish Butcher shop has it all. Really nice, family-owned operation that has deliciously smoked lean bacon, kielbasa, forest sausage, juniper berry sausages, hunter sausages, cold cuts, cheeses and more at rock bottom prices that underscore the old world class! Kinder chocolate eggs, Milka and a huge assortment of candies and canned goods, soups, beer and wine. They don’t make sandwiches here, but for the price of a Jimmy John’s generic offering you can make amazing sandwiches for your whole family! I pop in with co-workers to bring food back to the office to eat together and I also stock up on goodies to surprise the wife and kids. I love A&J Deli… reminds me of Greenpoint, Bklyn
