Madison’s Aldi is clean and pretty organized and user friendly. This one in Milwaukee was a madhouse when I stopped in to grab some cream cheese for a dip on the way to a party. I was in line for at least 20 minutes because there are no express lines, and the other clientele all had massively heaped grocery carts. The cashier was wearing rubber gloves, suggestive of the ickiness she routinely encounters. The store is very chaotic and disheveled and needs cleaning. The parking lot is very tight, to’ up from the flo’ up, and has steep entry and exit concrete(watch your trailer hitch bike rack!) so I went down an alley to make my escape. Y i k e s. Two stars because, well, they do have food there, and I was able to get what I needed.

Aldi maybe isn’t the best company in the world, but it sure is nice to have this neighborhood store with a well-rounded selection and good prices just down the bus line from me. Big pluses for this location are frequent mark-down specials($ 1 hummus), they do sell wines and east german beer and very friendly service.

This is one of my favorite locations in the city because its close to Miller Parkway, its just like every other Aldi’s but the difference is they sell wine at this location for the wine drinkers out there. I don’t know how many locations in the Milwaukee area do. I have nothing bad to say about this location.

A good place to stock on every day items. But make sure that you either bring your own bags or pay to buy your own bags from them.

This Aldi is one of my favorites in the city. Clean friendly folks work here. I am usually here in when all the European senior citizens from nearby Jackson Park are grabbing victuals which makes it fun. I am a in-out fella when it comes to ALDI: I come here for a handful of things and here they are: Bag of Spinach Soy Milk Egg beaters German roasted coffee hummus Greek yogurt Imported Stone baked pizzas(Italian) Mozzarella balls(fresh) German, Swiss, and Belgian jams(no corn syrup here) Various fruit smoothies and drinkable Kefir yogurt and occasionally: Goat cheese various imported cheeses and artisan cheeses are sometimes available(brie anyone?) German granola British granola German noodles German/Austrian/Belgian Chocolate German holiday pastries(xmass time) Vienna dogs! German skin and body products This place has applied for a booze license so soon I will stop in for: German sweet wines and Ice-wine Italian red wines Italian sparkling wines(awesome for summer) Spanish sangria(awesome for parties) Dutch and German beer Debit card only. Pay for carts, and pay for bags. Bring your own!
