Love this little store. Usually I go in right when they open just for the sake of hoping for a good parking spot. Yesterday, I went during the middle of the day. The man working, ashamed to say I don’t know his name as often as I do stop in, is thoroughly entertaining. He also is knowledgeable about the darts which is why I stopped in. This was the first time I was there and there were a number of customers. Usually it’s just me. I chuckled at all the different items people were buying. One man holding his child tried out this gag toy on the counter and I hear him say, it just pee’d on me. Fun little store made better by the staff.

Glad a store like this is still around, needed supplies for yard drinking games and this place delivered. Beer darts and beersby played without a hitch thanks to Arts!

It’s a fun little hobby shop. Honestly, it reminds me of the times I’ve spent on State Street back in Madison. It’s the sort of place everyone should probably make a trip to once if they’re in Milwaukee. The owner is a neat guy and his dog is friendly. There’s lots of odds and ends sort of stuff here to have a laugh at. Tiny plastic babies or dinosaurs or whatever. If you’re into disc golf, there’s lots of stuff here. It seems kinda pricey, but I’m not sure what disc golf supplies should cost, so uh… there’s that. I’ve been taking up juggling recently with some of our supplies at work, so if I get decent at it(and I probably won’t, I suck) maybe I’ll stop back in. Go here.

Gravy Candy is almost as good as Bacon Candy. I haven’t been here in 20 years. I came here to find new dart tips and a few flights and a mini dart wrench, and plastic poop. Sadly Art wasn’t in that day. but he had another good friend there to keep the doors open. He knew the store very well and was able to help me find most of the stuff that I needed. I recommend this place for fun gifts for those who are difficult to shop for. 42⁄2014

Do you need a rubber chicken? How bout a crazy cat lady action figure set? Are you worried your neighbourhood squirrel will get run over by a car and die without clean underwear on?(or really, any underwear on?) You can get him a clean pair here! Problem solved! Are you longing for a jigsaw puzzle of a man wearing a bacon tuxedo next to a geisha girl?(Come on now, I can’t make this stuff up.) For $ 9.95 this, too, could be yours. Did you always think that that metal thing people use for frisby golf was a modern art sculpture? Wait, wait, wait… that’s just me– scratch that last part and forget I mentioned it. Anywho, any of these purchases will make wildly more sense if you stop at a couple of the fine drinking establishments in the neighborhood beforehand. So I’d recommend doing so before stopping in. Want some gravy candy?

It’s quirky, it’s weird, it’s small, and the owner freaks me out a little bit, but it’s a place to buy darts, disc golf stuff, and random junk. The dog is super chill too. What do you expect?

bits, baubles and toys menagerie of wierdness I buy golf discs here ASDM&JE is just a fabulous little shop, with hard to find juggling supplies, odd candy and sundries and the best selection of disc golf discs in Milwaukee. It’s great to stop in and peruse the strange, chat with the dude behind the counter, and walk out with a pocket full of conversations. Avoid the zombie brain mints though, they taste terrible.

My dad absolutely loves this shop! While having my day exploring Bradley St. My dad dragged me in here because they have cool darts and kites which my dad both loves. So I decided it wouldn’t kill me to check this place out. They have really cool kites. My dad was really excited about those. And they had a good selection of darts and frisbees for disc golf! Sadly I’m not really into any of those things. While looking around they had goofy things like bacon flavored candy and books on how to take over the world. They also had magic tricks. It was a special little place with quirky toys and hobbies. It really seemed like the owner just bought what caught his fancy which ended up making this place really cool and quirky.

In the era of online shopping, unique local retailers are quickly becoming extinct. Art Smart’s is a living dinosaur, a true gem still open for business on the heart of Milwaukee’s hip Brady Street strip. What brought me to this store was disc golf. I’ve just moved to the sleepy Midwest and find that Estabrook Park’s wooded frisbee golf course is practically on my doorstep. What better excuse to get off my couch for a bromantic weekend afternoon, right? Well, Art’s turns out to be the place to go. When I walked in the door there were waist-high stacks of discs cluttering up a quarter of the available floor space. I thought they were doing inventory, but that’s their floor stock! It turns out that Art’s carries pretty much every disc in creation from all the manufacturers on the market. They vary by distance, weight, color, material, and purpose. I was left in peace when I wanted a minute to soak it all in and look at the handy manufacturer’s charts. And when I had a bunch of questions, the gravelly-voiced old owner was super patient and friendly with my newbie issues. What’s great about Art’s is that the owner is as much a player and supporter of the hobby as he is a retailer. He explained the differences in the plastics grades and durability of the purchases I was about to make. He puts up hand-written signs in the store with details of course opening dates and reminders to keep the parks clean. A class act all the way. In addition to disc golf, the store has great offerings for kites, juggling, card pokers supplies, and darts. I was also surprised to see the vast array of novelty gag gifts: mustaches, squirting gadgets, masks, and more. This place is a jackpot for middle-schoolers and office parties. I’m proud that my city has a store this great that’s still going strong after all these years. Support your local retailer of awesomeness and stop in next time you’re on Brady Street!

I LIKEHOWYOUTHINKMR. ARTSMART. I used to have a rubber cockroach that was attached to fishing line. At my office I would sometimes tape it the bottom of a door so victim would have a bug crawling towards them. I told this prank to Mr. Smart after seeing rubber cockroaches for sale. He shared what he does with the prank prop. Hilarious!(Ask him how he uses them.) Large selection of Frisbee golf discs, juggling stuff, prank items and darts. It does smell funny but a shop that sells fart spray isn’t going to smell like a flower shop. Art Smarts Dart Mart has been open since 1985. Unchain and support local businesses. P. S. Finding a place to park is no laughing matter(it sucks).

Art Smarts Dart Mart and Juggling Emporium smells a bit of patchouli and cigarette smoke. Do NOT let this deter you. Because you’ll find pirate kites and fake moustaches and bacon band-aids and Nietzsche action figures and lots of disc golf discs and juggling supplies and lobster kites and wasabi gumballs and cupcake air fresheners and fake dog crap and all sorts of darts and those devil stick things and zombie survival guides and strange calendars it’s really, really awesome in there. Also, the guy that owns the spot has a long beard and he is quite friendly. Why haven’t you gone yet? You should go. Go now. Buy some awesome jokey, gag gift type stuff that you probably can’t find anywhere else, aside from the internet… and even then, would you be inventive enough to think of Googling«squirrel underpants?» Didn’t think so…

Amazing, wonderful, astounding, mind-blowing, awesome, fun, cool, unique store. Do many fun things to look at, and the guy is SONICE that works here! I bought darts for my friend as a bday gift, and he was so great at helping me pick them out(since I know nothing about darts). We all made purchases, I wish there was a place like this in Chicago!

So… Once upon a time, I worked with someone who’d oftentimes snitch my food or beg for said food. So I cooked up the idea to get some really nasty candy. Nasty candy that tasted like fish. Where better to go than Art Smart’s Dart Mart? I didn’t walk out with fishy candy, but I walked out with nasty candy that supposedly tasted like fart! My friend walked out of there with a nose keychain that, when you squeeze it, oozes out a rubbery green booger from the nostrils. Too bad said bandit quit before I had chance to pull the prank of the century. Moral of the story: You can find just about anything at this little shop. Farty candy, nose keychains, nun action figures, darts, juggling supplies, and a whole slew of other tchotchkes that you probably don’t need(but can’t resist). Happy shopping!

Such a fun little store. Along with the dart and juggling supplies, they have kitchy toys and oddities. Where else can you find a store with a toy version of a crazy cat lady?(I’m serious). It is a great place to buy silly gifts for my friends. Just try to say the name of the place 5 times fast.

This place is fun!(The name should tip you off to that.) Besides supplies for juggling, darts, and pool, it’s got all those little jokey items like rubber dog doo, fake vomit, blood capsules, etc. This is where your corny uncle bought all those goofy gags from when you were a kid.
