Very impressed by Blue’s Eggs. Great and quick service. Recommend by the server we got the potato pancakes and the classic blues. Starter grapes were a nice touch! Reasonably priced meal. Server offered to go coffee cups. Very generous portions. As good or better than any brunch I’ve been in Chicago!

I am definitely a fan. Solid choice for families although there will likely be a wait on the weekends. Self-serve coffee stand available while waiting(not free — they will add it to your bill as the sign near the station states). Lots of options — almost too many. Definitely recommend.

The wait here is always too long. The food is great but I can’t honestly say feel 1hr plus wait for brunch on a weekday is worth it. That complaint out of the way, the food is solid. I’ve been here twice, both times having benedicts, what can I say? I know what I like, and was very pleased both times. Portion sizes were large, prices are fair, and the service has been friendly both times I’ve been in. The décor is pretty basic diner, but let’s be honest I’m there for the food, not the atmosphere. If you’re cool with a wait, check them out! You won’t be disappointed!

My mom and I enjoyed our brunch at this restaurant but my husband didn’t. My recommendation is to stick with the majors like scrambles, omelettes, & pancakes and stay away from anything remotely fancy like crepes and French inspired sandwiches. It’s Wisconsin, y’all. The coffee was great. The monkey bread was delicious. I’ll go back!

I’m in line as we speak. I went here years ago and forgot to review! The food is amazing, I had a Benedict, monkey bread, and stuffed hashbrowns that were all amazing amazing amazing! They are one of the best places in the country for sure. The food is something special here, specifically the ham is the best I’ve ever had. The rest was right up there too. Come here when your in the area, there seems to be a wait most times but it is well worth it!

Got the ham and gruyère and the night in Paris omelette. They were both amazing. The shellfish bisque was ok, but the rice was still hard and I’m not a fan of that. Great coffee and drinks. A bit pricey with good service. I’d eat there again if I was in the area.

I can’t imagine how they would be if they were open longer than 2pm throughout the week. Wow it’s busy but amazing. The reviews are right it was an hour wait but totally worth it. Their money break everyone raves about is awesome. Gotta get it Cracked though.(caramel sauce with booze in it). I didn’t expect the amount of powdered sugar on top but otherwise it was amazing. Got the classic eggs Benedict that they’re known for and wow. That pulled ham is so juicy and succulent its unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce is fresh and hearty. Got the cheddar hash browns as a side and those were made perfectly with a nice crust and hearty middle. Definitely worth the wait as everyone says. The restaurant is so busy but even given that, the wait staff is the best I’ve ever seen. Friendly, prompt, and attentive. Great all around.

Another awesome trip to Blues! The pulled ham omelette haunted my dreams since my last trip to MKE, so I just HAD to order it again! Was not disappointed. In fact, I even ordered challah toast and fruit, which was also exactly what I ordered last time. You just don’t mess with a good thing. Can’t wait to come back!

I’m not sure what I can say that hasn’t already been said, but I love that after a dozen check ins, Blue’s Egg still feels like an indulgence or treat. This last time I was up super early and was waiting in the parking lot for them to open. Before we could get to the door, three other groups beat us there. If having a queue of people at 7:30 doesn’t saw something about this place, I don’t know what will. I can never, ever decide what to get and I absolutely cannot resist the stuffed browns, so I always cobble together a meal of sides and I love how easy it is and how accommodating the staff is. Special note for all the amazing bakery and if you ever get a chance to try one of their Friday night dinner clubs, you absolutely must. A few of the best dinners I’ve ever had in town were here.

Came here with my boyfriend on our Milwaukee trip thanks to Unilocal. The wait was super long on a Saturday morning(prime brunch time) so we sat at the counter instead, and had an amazing experience. They serve you fresh grapes as you wait, so you have a little something to munch on. As good as any brunch I’ve had in Chicago & other cities — I had a yummy Eggs Benedict. The servers were also delightful. I’ll go back in a heartbeat the next time(if ever) I’m in Milwaukee. Definitely would recommend!

We drove 93 miles, and spent an hour in line waiting to eat breakfast at Blue’s Egg. It was totally worth it! And, I know some people behind the cheddar curtain don’t care too much for us flatlanders, but we’re going to keep coming if you keep making such great food.
I ordered the Dubliner benedict. Homemade corned beef, creamy leeks, rye toast, paprika aioli … holy crap it was good. To me, all o-lives matter, especially green olives on hashbrowns(browns), stuffed with goat cheese. Savory … major understatement! $ 50 for breakfast for two, a little on the high side but you get what you pay for.

I love this place for breakfast and by the wait time, many agree with me too. Best breakfast/brunch place in Wisconsin. I look forward to eating here every time I’m in Wisconsin. Make sure to try their stuffed hash brown and eggs Benedict. But pretty much anything on the menu is fantastic. They even serve a small bowl of grapes while you wait. You will not be disappointed.

I have no idea why it took me so long to try this gem in Milwaukee! On my first visit I tried the Dubliner Benedict — I cannot express how delicious this breakfast was! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the corned beef was tender and delicious, and the paprika sauce was amazing. On my next visit I tried the Big Irish Breakfast sandwich and could not believe that this dish was even better than the last. The fresh oversized English muffin was the best I’ve ever tasted. Paired with the corned beef, two eggs and paprika aioli — this was seriously the most incredible breakfast I’ve tasted in years(if ever!). Yes, the wait can be long, but it’s so worth the wait!

From everything I heard I thought we’d have a longer wait but we barely got started on mimosas before we were texted that the table was ready. Yeah that’s right. Three cheers for tech! Also, three cheers for a bar on the sidewalk and outdoor seating! There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been mentioned in the previous 300 reviews, so I’ll leave you with this. The monkey bread was great and the Hopple Popple needs to be tried! They also have awesome strawberry jam.

I have been past this place so many times in my travels but today was the day I would stop by for breakfast. I have not stopped by because they don’t open until 7am and I like to be done with breakfast by 7am so it has been on the way back burner for a long time. This place is a cult like classic because at 10 to 7am people are already walking in and they don’t open until 7 am. The place fills fast like no other breakfast spot I have been to and the waiting line was well in place when I left at 7:30 am. A co worker asked me yesterday why I have never been here and mentioned that the hash browns were really good so today I would finally stop by. I had no service issues and I was seated right away because I did get in before 7am but it looked like anything after about 7:15 would would put you in the waiting line. The place is nice looking with cool lamps and and art work on the walls. The place is only counter or tables with no booths. There is a huge clock on the wall with flat screens that seem out of place. The table has a cloth napkin with great a hand fitting coffee mug so today I would have the coffee because if they make the effort on the mug than the coffee would most likely be better than the average breakfast place and it was. The top offs were prefect by the way and my mug was never empty even as I left. The table gets a personal water bottle so you never have to ask for more water. They give you a nice plate with jam, butter and grapes to go with the breakfast, see my pictures. I went against the grain and didn’t have any of the signature dishes and the lack of any picture of a sunny side up egg lead me to keep it simple with eggs, hash browns, protein and toast. My breakfast came to the table in about 10 minutes or less and looked great. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. This hash browns were golden crispy on the outside. The bacon was thick cut and crispy good. The toast was slightly thicker with a soft center and nicely toasted on the outside. Ok this was a better than average breakfast place and and I can see the massive appeal/popularity that people are willing to stand in line to get in. They do provide a great breakfast experience and I would definitely recommend you get there early for yours.

I still give Blue’s Egg a 3. Actually it should be 2.5, but it’s all good. The food is OK although considering the long wait, there’s other restaurants I’d rather go to for my brunch fix. What baffles me most is Story Hill BKC, same affiliated group, is light years ahead of Blues on the level of food served. When you wait and the food comes lukewarm, meh… The ambiance is awesome but the food just an OK. I have to scratch my head like why? Maybe I’ll try again in another few months but overall my visit was as lackluster as the last few times I came. SMH.

Going to downgrade a bit. My last few visits at Blues Egg have not hit the mark previously set. Service is still excellent, but the food has been lacking the wow factor that I used to consistently find. Examples include overcooked burgers with somewhat dry burger buns that were too thick for the patty or a Hopple Popple or Seafood Bennie at brunch that were on the bland side. I plan to order some of the dishes that won me over early to see if they still pop for me, like the corned beef hash. I know some items are still solid like the stuffed browns with pulled ham and some of the omelet specials. I’ll have to be more picky when I order going forward.

Sooooo much to choose from — first visit demands the classic Benni with hashbrowns. They have an abundance of Irish themed meals this week. Great Service — friendly and professional. This was the best first stop in Milwaukee I could have made!

Overview — This place really is awesome! 5 star stunnin! Food 5⁄5 Customer Service 4.5÷5 The food really does take the cake. The most impressive thing I tasted was the shredded ham stuffed hash browns. I know, crazy right?! It’s worth the up charge. We also had the Monkey Bread, which was awesome, and the Egg Benedict that I loved. The place has the feel of an old school diner. Not the classiest, but a nostalgic feel. Our waitress was wonderful and I loved it all!

Really nice brunch place. They are open 7AM until 2PM daily. Serve breakfast all day and lunch. Usually busy all day long. Was told to wait 10 to 15 minutes at 11AM but we got the table relatively quickly, less than 5min. The breakfast entrées are huge. Big enough to share. I got the basic breakfast with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, toast, sausage and I took it home and ate it the next day as well. Hashbrowns are amazing! You can order specialty hashbrowns, but the basic hashbrowns are really good too! Ohh and order the monkey bread for an appetizer!!! So yummy!!! Thursdays they have a special for two dollar mini cocktails. The spiked apple cider was pretty good!
