Excellence all the way — quality and flavor of food, service, drinks and WELL priced! A cozy spot with all the little quirks that give the place personality. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. The mussels were the bomb! Go early — this place is popular.

Made an Open Table reservation for 10pm on Friday June 10th2016. My girlfriend and I show up at 10 after she gets off work and we are told kitchen is closed. Asked why they had Open Table slots available, no satisfactory answers were given. Not going back here. Waste of our time. Unacceptable on a Friday night. Honor your posted hours of operation and Open Table slots.

KEYLIMEPIENEED I SAYMORE. :) Went here for dinner last night and when we first walked in it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night at the end of the bar was the host to check in for dinning. The decoration is unique and we got a table by the window to watch the downpour that came down so fast. The appetizers were pretty good a little spicy but delicious can’t remember the name of it(smh) it was the special of the day. — Is it weird this is my first time having onion rings decided to give it a try, still not my thing but my friend enjoyed it. The food was delicious my rib eye was really good I enjoyed it very much and was happy to have leftovers for work. Because I need to leave room for dessert, the price is pretty decent and the quality of food is delicious. Will be going back to try

Best happy hour in town. Crab cake is amazing. Best I’ve ever had actually. The bacon wrapped gorgonzola stuffed dates are ridiculously good. So are the pistachio scallops with angel hair pasta. They also have cool unique cocktails. Bar tenders were very helpful and friendly. All around great experience. I highly recommend it

Food was outstanding. 4 business Associates all from Charlotte, NC, looking for Coastal Seafood found Bosley’s to taste like home. Fried oysters in cornmeal breading were unique and incredible. 4 of 4 said, ‘I will come back here.’ Comments about the Happy Hour are all accurate. The dining room is separated nicely from the bar so Happy Hour noise didn’t interrupt a need for business conversation during dinner. Service was very attentive and helpful with an excellent wine menu. Of the 4 outstanding entrees, Salmon was by far the best. Really outstanding experience overall.

We had an wonderful dinner Saturday night at Bosley’s with our friends. They are more than just seafood! The special was a filet that I wish I had room for but limited my self to a delicious Cole Winter Night Passion salad and sautéed calamari. The calamari was ok for being sautéed but wish i would have ordered something else. Two in our group enjoyed the scallops and I finished off the risotto on my husbands plate. Best risotto ever! The scallops were perfectly done. We appreciated the fact that the chef as able to accommodate my husbands meal to his gluten sensitivity. My girlfriend had the Farmer’s Market Chopped Beet salad. She was more than satisfied with it. And her husband enjoyed his shrimp. We enjoyed a bottle of wine while the guys had some tasty drinks. Our waiter was kind, helpful and patient with our decision making. The overall atmosphere was eclectic and perfect for a night out with friends.

A favorite happy hour spot of mine on the east side. Prices vary from 4 – 10 bucks for drink and food, and there are some pretty solid options. I always go for the hummingbird when it comes to drinks. Not too sweet, and you can’t argue with the 4 dollar price. Tempura greens beans, sautéed calamari, fish tacos, bruschetta – all worth the dollars in my opinion. I don’t feel a strong need to come here for a full dining experience, but the HH deals keep me coming back.

This was a bit more expensive than I anticipated, but was impressed when I opened the menu because a lot of items sounded interesting: Risotto was on point, although my scallops were gritty and ruined an otherwise estimable entrée. Shrimp app special left me wanting it to be better– underwhelming in flavor and over cooked. I’ll come back again, but I wont be rushing to do so.

Bosley on Brady is a great spot to go for Happy Hour. Sometimes the service(uh hum the bartender) can be pushy which is why I only give it the A-OK. The atmosphere is slightly dated and you can feel the spirit of its datedness once inside. Considering the price point for a full blown dinner here there are quite a few other avant gar places to eat that serve truly unique cuisine in MKE. These other places also boast a top notch atmosphere to go along with the service and food. Although Bosley is solid it just has never won my heart because there really isn’t anything that sets it apart from other restaurants. Like I said go for Happy hour and that’s about it. $$ for Happy Hour $$$ for Dinner

I was traveling to Milwaukee for business. I used my handy Unilocal monocle to find a seafood restaurant near my hotel and Bosley on Brady came up. A cute homey little bar area and a nice dining area. My guest and i decided to seat by the bar to watch the football game while we dined The restaurant has won many years in a row a wine spectator excellence award. the wine list is not extensive but decent. We ordered the Duckhorn Cab that was on special and recommend by the bar tender whom was very personable and engaging The food menu came which was also not extensive but seemed good. The waiter gave us an amuse bouche to start that was ok. We then ordered appetizers to start The escargots were covered with crispy and doughy filo dough over the super garlic and buttery escargots– this was a very good dish The ahi tuna appetizer was not very good. I had the blackened grouper that was cooked well and good but the bed of spinach it was on was way overly salted and i could not finish it The person with me had the winner entrée. The sea scallops on the gorgonzola rissotto. However he said the first few were cooked perfectly but the last one was under cooked and turned him off We did not have dessert or coffee but we did talk to the bar tender on the way out that I was able to negotiate a decent price on a bottle of wine not on the menu because it was the last bottle they had left The place is cute and bar tender saved my experience so i would come back to try again– hopefully on a Wed when they have priced bottles of wines

Over an hour wait for food… lost our appetite waiting. $ 200 later(just for food– for 3 adults and 1 kid) we were home with all boxed food. Ruined husband’s birthday I did let the hostess know about our experience and she gave a piece of key lime pie to go(which went right to the trash since none of us eat key lime pie). After reading so many reviews and having passed by this place many times, I thought it would be a good place to take my husband for his birthday. There were four of us in our party and we got prompt seating. Because I was having a cold I opted not to have wine although it did appear that they had a good choice of wine. I ordered a soup right away for my younger son and the following; — seafood appetizer platter. — scallop — NY strip — Salmon — for my little guy I ordered a soup, crab cake appetizer and butter noddle(that they offered to custom make). not sure whether I can justify $ 12 for 1 crab cake. I thought the waiter said whether«we wanted soup or salad«(in a manner than implied that soup salad option came with the meal)…later found out that it didn’t come with it. I guess we should have read the menu closer or asked confirmed. But I would have expected the waiter to ask whether we wanted«anything else» rather than saying«what option would you like to have? soup or salad?». My Son’s soup came out on time and salads and appetizer came soon after. The beet salad was just an odd flavor palate and did not go well at all. Vinegar/gorgonzola cheese/something coated nuts/and pieces of caramel or something like that. There after, we waited more than one hour for the food to arrive. By this time my son has eaten half the bread on the table. all of us had lost our appetite by the time food arrived. we asked to box $ 200 worth food and just came home. On our way out the hostess asked how the food was and I mentioned«that we don’t know as all the food is in boxed going home». She apologized ran to the kitchen and got us a piece of key lime pie… which none of us eat !!!

To the cooks and specifically the chef who is supposed to be the one who put some rules in the kitchen and reinforce: 1– your staff needs to take their chef coats, leave aprons and towels in the kitchen before they go use the bathroom. That’s how you get ppl sick and is grossing me out while I’m dining and seeing your cooks walking to the bathroom. 2– use fresh limes all the time. conch fritters are impossible to eat bcuz of the extremely bad flavor from your old limes you used… Same thing happened the first time I eat here and had your ceviche. 3– service is good so far, although menus should be wiped before you hand it to the costumer. 3– the rest of the food was good so is the service. Thankfully our server took the fritters off the bill after letting her know.

Happy 50th birthday mom, and happy belly to me! Celebrating mom’s birthday here was a good choice. We called ahead on a Thursday for a reservation that we probably didn’t need(7pm), but glad we did anyway. While waiting for the whole group to arrive, we started at the bar which was staffed by a very friendly and informative bartender. Selection met everyones wishes – dad got his craft beer, sister a cocktail, birthday girl and my P.I.C. got themselves a G&T with Bombay Saphire, myself the Sauv Blanc. The hostess was super awesome and told us that our table was ready whenever we wanted, no rush. She even put the cupcakes we brought for mom in the fridge without a fuss! After we eventually made it to our table, two of us ordered the special of crab soup with Old Bay seasoning to start, as well as the group decision to share the Devil’s on Horseback aka bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese with an orangy-ginger marmalade side sauce(Oh my gosh! And to quote my sister: «best thing I’ve had all year») and the nights special of a puff pastry filled with berries and brie(we like fruit and cheese, ok?!). Both were just delicious. Mom was hurting for a salad that night, both of us ordering the Chopped Roasted Beet salad with walnuts, blue cheese, and granny smith apples(oh and bacon, who can forget the bacon). I ordered a side of Mushroom risotto and she a side of baby brussels sprouts with pancetta. Sister loved her grilled romaine salad with coconut shrimp on the side. Dad ordered the grouper and barely spoke while he ate, while boyfriend enjoyed the shrimp and grits. To cap off the night, mom’s birthday cupcakes(from a local bakery back near their house that smelled of sweet sweet heaven) were brought out to us on a plate with sparklers courtesy of Bosley’s. It was a wonderful night celebrating mom, and the food made the occasion!

As you can see, from my earlier post, I used to love this place. Since my first visit, I’ve suggested this place for just about every dinner outing in Milwaukee. I can honestly say I will never come here again. I took my best friend here for her birthday, Friday night. We were off to a great start with a martini each, some coconut shrimp, wine and their grilled romaine salad. I’m explaining what we ordered, thus far, to instill the fact that we were out to have a good time and weren’t there to skimp at all! We both ordered the filet. My friend ordered hers medium rare and I ordered mine medium. Her steak came out medium(pink all the way through) and mine medium well(brown all the way through except for a light pink center). I sent mine back to get a new steak, as I’m not going to pay for $ 37 for a way over cooked steak. Over 20 minutes pass, my friend and I have completely finished her meal. At this time, the owner comes out with my original plate/original steak and puts the plate in my face. The steak, after sitting for over 30 minutes, was a different color than when I originally cut into it. It actually looked pink. perhaps something with the juices or maybe it changed from sitting and interacting with the oxygen in the air. She asked how I wanted my new steak cooked since this original steak was the correct color. I asked, «why is this being brought up 20some minutes after it was sent back?» She continued to argue with me with a rather aggressive tone till I finally I said I’d like our bill. This«owner» interaction was the rudest, off putting, and ‘effed up interaction I’ve EVER had at a restaurant. Further more, the owner insulted and attempted to engage my friend into an argument when we were leaving. Just ridiculous.

Bosley has one of the best happy hours on the east side. Cheap drinks, and cheap food. Love the bruschetta and the fish tacos. Their signature cocktails are very sweet, not a fan of most of them, I do like the humming bird tho. The staff is very friendly. I have gone to Bosley many times to happy hour and my friends and I always have a good time. The do have a rewards program if Bosley really is your jam.

Came here with my BF for our anniversary dinner and I was SO happy we did. Being from the east coast, we’re a bit more critical of seafood joints and this place blew us away. We started with some apps– potato pancakes and coconut shrimp. The potato pancakes were really yummy, crunchy but, if this is possible, creamy too? Insides were delicious and the apple sauce that was served with it was dynamite. The coconut shrimp was also really good. Really meaty shrimps and a not too thick coating of coconut on the outside. Only thing here is that they were a teeeeny bit greasy but i’d still order them again. For our mains we got the scallops and and this crazy special they had. The scallops were sweet and salty and crispy in all the ways you’d want them to be. The risotto was a perfect complement and very yummy. The star dish of the night was this TODIEFOR special that had, I believe, angle hair pasta, crab, and fish. I hate that i can’t remember the name of the dish but check out my pictures for what i’m talking about. Every bite was like heaven. If you haven’t tried this joint, defintely stop by. I look forward to checking out their happy hour soon.

Came here for a celebration dinner just last night and all day today I’ve caught myself in the middle of weird Bosley daydreams and food fantasies. I might be in love. We ate from the regular dinner menu, though from the looks of other reviews, I’ll need to come back for the happy hour. Our server was friendly, attentive but not overbearing, and made great suggestions. I asked him to recommend a *reasonably priced* bottle of wine and he didn’t flinch(maybe he thought I was tacky as hell, but he did a good job hiding his disdain). We started with the island chips, and in the dimly lit dining room I didn’t even realize that the entire bottom of the plate was soaked in gorgonzola goodness. Bonus! They also brought out bread and a bite of ceviche on a tortilla chip for each of us before the meal. Not mad about it. The entrees, though… best seafood I’ve had in Milwaukee, bar none. I had the blackened grouper over potato pancakes with mango salsa and my boyfriend ordered the trout with sweet potato and gnocchi. I’m overwhelmed just remembering it all. So delicious, reasonably sized portions, flavors all working together in amazing ways. The value for the $$$$ was there. I like that Bosley is nice without being pretentious. Not a restaurant I’d frequent, but certainly a place I’d return for a special occasion or to check out the happy hour. I even liked the Key West-inspired ambiance and Bob Marley/Jack Johnson over the speakers. It took the edge off of what could otherwise be an uppity restaurant, without cheapening the experience. Which is saying something, because I have very few positive feelings about Jack Johnson.

Picking a place for a group of friends getting together for a nice dinner is almost always hard, but trust me when I say this, Bosley on Brady is definitely one of the places that should be on everyone’s short list. I did knock of half star because it is on the pricier end, but don’t let that change your mind about this place. I started off with the watermelon salad, and I must say, I was proud of myself for that pick. The menu describes it as containing«watermelon chunks, feta cheese, fresh mint, shaved red onion, toasted almonds, cracked pepper, light olive oil drizzle». And trust me when I say that all of those ingredients went perfectly well with each other. Being predominantly watermelon chunks, it wasn’t a heavy salad and it suited the warm summer day. Next up was my order of brown sugar salmon which had a grilled brown sugar glazed salmon served with«caramelized banana and strawberry slices, brussels sprouts with pancetta, and roasted fingerling potatoes». This is where Bosley lost another half star. I loved my salmon, but personally, I felt that the dish was overwhelmed with caramelized banana slices. The taste and the consistency of the bananas did not harmonize with the salmon and I found myself picking out the bananas and banishing them to the side of the plate. Ample portion of both my dishes made the decision to get their loyalty card a no-brainer. Everyone else around the table were very pleased with their dishes, and with our knowledgeable server(even though he was more on the serious side). He was also able to split checks for our group, which not many places are willing to do(and also a huge plus for the establishment).

Happy Hour — Bosley on Brady is the KING of all happy hours! BEST in Milwaukee. It was truly the most excellent happy hour I have ever been to in my life, y’all! I started with a delicious chocolate martini. And choose a second mixer as the day went on :) The steak tacos were cooked to a wonderful medium. the tempura green beans were a little greasy for me personally but super yummy… oyster shot! it was different! there was beer in the shot glass… Fried green tomatoes were EXCELLENT, but a little note to point out is that the shrimp that come with are heavily seasoned, Not Salt — seasoning, and this would be the dish were you need the«perfect bite» with a nice proportion of everything on the plate(piece of shrimp/piece of fried green tomato/sauce) really gorgeous presentation and my favorite. Most things on the HH menu are $ 4/$ 5/$ 6/$ 7 — can’t be that with a stick! Seriously this happy hour is for the record books! If I could go every week — hell even every other, I would be a happier gal. It’s tough to make weekdays 4 – 6(damn job!) but, I suppose it’s why Bosley choose this time. Anything this could can’t me made Too Easy. They still pack in the crowd!!! If you can ever swing these days/times — I advise you get out to this Happy Hour at some point!!! Do it! Two cocktails, excellent service and about 5 – 6 different small plates, my total for Happy Hour including tax and tip was ===== $ 28!!! :)
