I’m torn on the rating… Food was awesome, bar staff was friendly but their service the night I visited was terrible! It was a busy night but it’s no excuse for not paying attention to customers… Had I not flagged the bartender, I would have probably had to wait forever. I noticed another customer didn’t get what they ordered because the bartender forgot to enter the order, and another customer walked out after waiting for their food for over an hour. Again, this may have been due to the busy night. I’d probably give it another shot on a slow night given the great(but expensive) food.

Absolutely ADORE this place! While it can be a bit pricey, the food is top notch. I ordered a simple spaghetti and meatball after being told it was one of the favorites at the restaurant and my fiancé ordered the fish fry. Both meals were excellent, the meatball was so flavorful and the fish was perfectly cooked. The Club has become our new favorite Friday place, I highly recommend for all Italian cuisine lovers!

Really delicious! I had the tortellini with grilled chicken in a vodka cream sauce. It was fabulous. So was my side Caesar salad-probably the Caesar dressing I’ve ever had. My husband had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, my daughter had it with shrimp. Although it was good, it wasn’t as tasty as my meal. I thought it was a little over-priced considering the casual atmosphere but the food was really good.

GREAT! ITALIAN! This is a go too in Mikwaukee… The Italian is tip notch. I sware Al Capone is in the family tree. The meatballs are to die for and the wine is top shelf. My friends/family and I ordered two bottles of the Chianti Classico and it was amazing. The ravioli was great and I enjoyed the light yet delicious red sauce. The only reason this place gets 4 instead of 5 starts is the lack in inclusive customer service. We were unable to split the checks… I mean come on its 2016!!! I will be back.

On business next door at Hyatt Regency and found Calderon’s. Great but small bar, excellent bartenders and if you don’t order the pizza or pasta, you’re missing out. Very good value for money too.

Everything from the service the food the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. One of my favorite spots on a nice Sunday night or even before bucks game for a drink.

DELICIOUS. Everything was so good the sausage, the meatballs, the garlic bread this was my first time going here and won’t be the last. Went here for an event after the last game of the season I’m happy with the device

We go there all the time when downtown. Authentic family owned Italian restaurant. We have NEVER been disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Gino, the owner/chef, is always seen walking around the dining room talking to customers. Great location as well.

This may sound crazy, but would you believe that the Calderone Club is a fancy, overpriced downtown restaurant? I know, shocking. $ 19 for only a small boat of «lasagna» and nothing else is far too much. The redeeming qualities are at least it came out fast and tasted relatively good. I do think calling it «lasagna» is a bit of a stretch, though, as good lasagna should have ricotta and/or cottage cheese and both were absent.

This was a great place for a large group dinner. Had 10 people and the service was good and the food quality. Nothing fancy and seating was tight but we had a good time. Only downside was the lack of a kids menu. Reccomend if you are looking for a casual unrushed delicious dinner.

LOVELOVELOVE! After arriving on a late flight we had settled into our hotel(The Hyatt across the street) and did not want to drive. The hotel recommended the Calderone Club and it looked so cozy we decided to give it a try… so glad we did. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated and our server was quick to greet us and take our drink order. The place was hopping and full! I wish I could remember our server’s name because she did a great job at making suggestions and keeping drinks filled. The teenager and the hubby ordered the lasagna. I knew it must be delicious because they teenager didn’t talk(a rare thing) because he was too busy enjoying. I ordered the Cappelini Alla Caprese because I didn’t want anything too heavy. The chardonnay-cream sauce was perfection! Perfect flavor and not overdone. The angel hair was cooked perfectly and you can tell it is freshly made… heaven! The boys finished their meal with Tiramisu… and even though I was totally full… I had to steal one or two bites… delicious! I am pretty sure this will be one of our favorite places to eat as we explore our new city. I will say it was a boisterous atmosphere so if you are looking for quiet this might not be the place. We loved everything about it and are looking forward to a return visit!

This is a standard Italian joint conveniently located by many hotels. My party and I chose this place after walking 3 blocks in the freezing weather and saw this place looked popular and was definitely warmer than standing outside any longer. The service was prompt and the food came out pretty quickly. In my opinion, the food just didn’t stand out. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing wowed anyone in my party. As stated in previous reviews, it is pretty loud in here when there is a full house. The tables are close together so you really have to speak up to hear your party. Good food and service, but nothing to write home about.

Got in late to the Hyatt like 1130pm. Ordered there famous spaghetti and meatballs and a Margarita pizza. It was actually really good. 5 stars for great takeout and a shot grappa while I waited. Yum

One chilly night many years ago, prior to us living in Milwaukee, we were at the Old German Beer Hall on Third and as we were walking back to our hotel, my dad peered into the steamy window of the Calderone Club and said«I think they have Lemoncello…» We opened the door, walked in, and… that’s pretty much my last memory of that night. Fast forward a few years after I relocated to Milwaukee and some colleagues took me to the Caledrone Club and treated me to lunch where I enjoyed a delicious chicken piccata, which was recommended by one of my colleagues. I’ve ordered the chicken piccata multiple times since, and it has not disappointed. Since then, my husband and I have enjoyed several delectable pizzas at Calderone. It’s not a bargain pizza by most standards, it’s more of a hand tossed/European style, but the ingredients are very good. The cheese on the pizzas is wonderful and buttery tasting, the sauce is fresh and tomatoey, the restaurant is small and intimate, and the service is good.

Went off of the previous reviews and not sure it was rated accordingly. We wanted to order the toasted ravioli on the menu as an appetizer, spinach and artichoke, but we’re told it’s actually four cheese ravioli. Lemon picatta was pretty tasteless and the spaghetti with meatballs tasted a bit odd. The saving grace for the restaurant was the chicken Marsala. Previous reviews were correct about the noise level, so be aware if you’re looking for a quiet meal.

I’m usually not one to write bad reviews, but I was rather unhappy with my dining experience. We went to dinner for our friend’s 25th birthday. First, we ordered drinks. My sister ordered the Old Third St cocktail, and it was too strong. We told our waitress, and she exchanged it easily with another drink. Then we ordered food. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it was rather delicious! Having just returned from Italy three days before, it definitely wasn’t Italian food. But good Italian-American food nonetheless. The event that caused the whole experience to be unpleasant was the bill. The waitress gave us one bill. Obviously we’re not going to pay for a $ 300 bill and owe each other. No worries, we’ll just split the bill by giving separate cards, right? Apparently not: the waitress literally took 20 minutes to try and do it(we were a party of 4, shouldn’t be too difficult). Then she came back and said the computer wouldn’t let her and that we could only split it evenly. I have never, ever had that happen at a restaurant where you can’t separately pay for the bill in some way. To top it off, the drink we asked to exchange was charged. And the birthday tiramisu we secretly asked for the birthday girl was charged. I understand these things aren’t free/can be charged, but it would have been courteous not to do so. PS Three out of the four of us felt sick the night of/next day

Very well done italian. Lovely staff and a lively boisterous dining room and everyone is having a great time. The chef is crafting some pretty fantastic italian food here. I’d recommend anything with sausage, but that may be me. Portions are huge. Wine list: Great. Bar: Great(although there are TVs in the bar area: good/bad depending on your opinion of TVs). Go here with good friends and stuff your stomach with well made Italian.

Great little Italian place in a good Milwaukee location. Was staying at the Hyatt next door and just wanted a convenient, good Italian dinner. This was a great find. The service was great-we had this adorable waitress who was so attentive and nice. The wine list was decent and they had a handful of wines by the glass. My friend and I split the margherita pizza and the tortellini-both were great. The pizzas come in three sizes and we chose the«junior» which was four pieces. I would choose a size up next time as it seemed more like a personal pizza that we got. The only semi-confusing part about this restaurant is that it is a nice Italian restaurant with white tablecloths but also has a sports bar feel in the main bar area. Not bad, just confusing.
