If you stop here, watch your belongings. One of the employees stole money from my wife’s purse. Beware!

Great mom and pop shop! Coffee is ground and roasted on site and is fantastic. Had the«blue chicken Rap» was like grandma made it, with an unexpected brownie to top it off. Good environment, with nice jazz feel and music.

I’m not really a coffee connoisseur, so I can’t speak to if the coffee is good or not(it tastes like it is supposed to to me), but I can speak to the other things I like about this place. It’s locally owned, and they have good sandwiches, made to order. They also carry Tiesta Tea, which you currently can’t find in any other Milwaukee coffee shop. Occasionally they will have live jazz music, and the whole café had a New Orleans jazz theme.

I got a half pound of freshly-roasted coffee beans a couple of weeks back. Delicious! It was also refreshing to have a coffee shop worker who knew exactly when the beans were roasted(I’m always baffled when I get blank looks from folks). And Black-owned to boot! It’s cute inside with various treats and eats. I will have to return for the live music!* *2nd and fourth Fridays, 6−8pm

Cute coffee shop downtown. Locally owned. What they don’t have in slick, they make up for in personable service and hustle.

Good cappuccino. And I take my cappuccinos very seriously. Very attentive and friendly service. I would like to give a score of 4.5 stars– it’s not quite 5 star espresso, but still good. I’m giving it 5 stars to bring the overall average rating up.

City.Net Café is a warm family owned coffee house that caters to the novice coffee drinker to the expert extreme machiatto, drinkers. Although people may love coffee some still prefers herbal teas. They have a great selection of teas and awesome smoothies. Their staff is always personable and they always are asking if you need anything else to make sure your are not being ignored as in some other cafes. I really enjoyed the jazz music and the cozy quaint seating that makes talking, reading of even having a personal meeting easy. his is a great place to stop if you like coffee. When I was there having a meeting I heard a group of Romanian expressing their delight on the wonderful tasting Biscotti. City.Net is certainly the place if you are looking for a warm and inviting place just to relax or have a high quality coffee, tea or sandwiches and salads.

City.Net Café is a great addition to East Town. I drink espresso, machiatto, or cortados during the day and all three drinks have been consistent and well executed. The owner and staff have been personable and made my experiences pleasurable. I especially appreciate that they use ceramic mugs for those drinking in the café. The music level is pleasant but not loud, a variety of seating is available(bar stools to comfy chairs), and they always have today’s newspaper. This is a great place to stop if you like coffee. I am not a Starbucks type of guy who wants to sit in a coffee shop for hours on end. I also don’t drink flavored coffees or sugared type drinks, so I do not know if those are good here. If you are looking for a high quality coffee to break up your day, this is the perfect place.
