I really liked the concept of this place but thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was. I got the Bombay chop salad and added tempeh. I thought it needed more dressing(kale needs a lot of love to be delicious IMHO) but the salad itself was very filling. Tempeh as an option was nice but I think if it were chopped or sliced thinner it would’ve been tastier. If I came back I would definitely get extra dressing, and all the dressing on the side.

Being in the downtown area I saw this place one day and thought really, salad, not my thing. However my view points changed once a coworker invited me to a lunch there and this has become one of my favorite places in town. Why is this one of my favs? Well, one you get something healthy, that tastes great and fills you up. I have been here several times and each time can only finish maybe half of my order which I normally get the wraps and the left overs makes a great afternoon snack. I don’t see how people complain about the amount, as the salads are very large and for the amount you pay, the quality is very good. Honestly its better than a lot of salads I’ve had that cost more at lunch at other places around the area and take a lot longer to get. Also the price is reasonable if you compare it to other salads at sit down places, which again, I will argue are not as fresh or flavorful as these are. Two of my favs are the harvest and the classic caesar. For some reason caesar salad is my go to, and this one I love, especially in a wrap. So in a nutshell, if you want to be on the healthy side, and are in the area stop in as I’m sure you’ll find something great on the menu.

I have been looking for a place with REALLYFRESH food and have found it in Colour Palate! What a great concept-a plethora of fresh and tasty goodies-including a variety of proteins. As a vegetarian, I was really excited to get the tempeh-which was delicious.(I could have made that a meal) What was awesome about this place is the staff. Can I tell you how friendly they are? We were greeted with big smiles and very helpful folks behind the counter who seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I know the owner, and he’s even offered to deliver the food on the way home. You can’t beat that. Will be back.

Stopped in for a healthier lunch here a couple of times. It’s alright, but honestly most of their signature salads are made with fresh and raw make as the base, which is really hard to eat raw and is typically cooked or ‘dressed’ for a while before eating to let the leaves soften a little bit. A redeeming factor is the proteins they put on salads are fresh and reheated on the flat top before serving. No one likes the cold chicken that looks like it came out of a plastic bag.

I love this place!!! It’s within walking distance to my place of work and a deliciously healthy lunch option. My favorite is the Sonoma Cobb!

I really like burgers and good cheese and wine and pot pies and stuff like that. I also like fitting into my pants. —- Colour Palate is a great option for someone like me: the thirty-something with a slowing metabolism and a busy, all-over-the-place job. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, this salad/wrap/soup place offers all sorts of options on the vegan/veggie or carnivorous«lighter» tip — you won’t find sandwiches here, but you will find salads, wraps and soup options galore. Build your own or choose one of their many pre-existing(delicious) options. Ingredients are fresh, dressings are made in-house and while they definitely provide a ‘healthier” option, no one’s going to stop you from slathering your salad with blue cheese or steak if you really want to. I rocked a southwest salad w/fake chicken and went a little«bad for me» but subbing out the cumin lime dressing for their avocado ranch. The gal working suggested I add a bit of the harissa dressing to make it spicier, so I did. She was right. It was awesome. Price points are on the higher end of low, but only because their stuff is so fresh/awesome. The vibe/ambiance is comfy and staff is great. Check ‘em out if you’re downtown and looking for a lunch thing that’s not a burger! You’ll be glad you did.

If you dig salad, you should check out Colour Palate. If you don’t, they also have wraps and soups, so don’t fret. I’ve been here twice now. The second time I had the S X SW salad, a suggested recipe, regular size, and it was very good. I went with the pre-selected cumin lime dressing because that, along with the avocado, is what sold me on the salad, and I don’t regret my choice. The salad was not swimming in dressing, but it wasn’t almost naked either. I ordered a can of La Croix flavored seltzer water to go with my salad, and paid just over $ 10. Since you can watch as the salads are prepared, I noticed that the avocado was a half portion, vacuum sealed, opened and sliced for my salad, hence it was firm and fresh. You can also make up your own salad with their ingredients including about 25 veggies, a few fruits, different cheeses, crunchy stuff and even quinoa and wheat berries, and they feature a special item every so often as well. On my first visit, I got to sample their chicken breast and it was juicy, flavorful and of nice quality, which I really appreciate in a lunch stop. Color Palate offers lots of interesting dressing options and you can sample them before you pick. The staff is friendly. As far as seating, you can choose from tables, booths and armchairs, and wireless is available. Or you can take your meal to go.

This is a great place for lunch or a light dinner. Excellent choices and the dressing is homemade! Very nice staff, they even let me «taste» the dressing before deciding which one I wanted.

Love this place! Not only is it just around the corner from me, but other than the public market, which is usually so busy you can’t even walk through the place, they have fast service and quick made to order salads. They have everything ingredient imaginable you could want on a salad. The dressings are what make it though. The basil green goddess is so delicious.

Stopped here after a workout. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and seemingly well-kept. I had a chop salad with kale and a yogurt curry dressing, added grilled chicken. It was delicious! (My dad ordered a Caesar wrap, also good, but ask for light dressing as the wrap had too much). Will definitely return!
