If you want to wait 40 minutes for a sub — this is the place for you. The service was EXTREMELY slow. You would have thought they were making me a thanksgiving turkey back there. I must say the food is good and their cheese curds are a well kept secret because they are some of the best I have ever had. Clean facilities — the recent upgrade is nice and was much needed. Not a good place when you are in rush and I would not say it was good enough to be worth the wait. This location accepts Marquette cash making it a good stop for students who are looking for lunch on their parents dime.

If you go in and order you’re more likely to get what you asked for. The times we have used online ordering have been terrible. They have yet to get one of our online orders correct. My sandwich today was pretty bad. Dry bread, like it was from yesterday. Mayo on the sandwich, when I specifically asked for Italian dressing and NO mayo. And the tomatoes were half green. I need them to do better.

This is by far my favorite Cousins location in Milwaukee.-why… it was just renovated. But the main reason is you can customize your sandwich with any type of toppings(pepper relish, sauteed mushrooms, jalapenos, pickles, green peppers. I could go on. The last time I was there I ordered ham and provolone cheese sub with pepper jack cheese; They have a Coke Refresh machine.

I’d agree with Bob K completely, since I thought IMO(hadn’t been to a Penn Station yet) that it was better than Subway, but wasn’t quite as good as Jersey Mike’s. Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sub, and while it wasn’t bad, it made me wish that a Jersey Mike’s was in this area instead. At least the bread I got it on(Parmesan Asiago) wasn’t bad, though. Why I didn’t go here before instead of the nearby and worser Subway one or 2 visits back, is beyond me. I’d be fine returning here, in case I get another hankering for a sandwich/sub in this area again. Rather patronize other sub chains over Subway, anyway!

Not having grown up with Cousins Subs nearby, I admit I tend to forget about their popularity around Milwaukee. But when I do remember that Cousins exists, I always enjoy it. They offer a good variety of sandwiches — more than Subway or Jimmy John’s, I’d say. While it’s not my go-to sandwich shop, Cousins is definitely at least A-OK.

We had never been to this chain and decided to give it a try. Best way to describe this place is a cross between Jimmy Johns and Penn Station. Better than Subway, but not nearly as good as Penn Station. This chain started out in Milwaukee by two cousins in the 70’s and has grown but remains family owned to this day.
