Run! Do not walk! I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews! The tamales are sinful! I grew up in Chicago w/many different ethnic friends and have helped make tamales myself… these are by far the best I’ve ever eaten. Pork, even chicken, absolutely delicious!

I can’t believe that I found them before so many others. As a kid, my Dad loved tamales and fed them to me(note, we aren’t Mexican so I have no idea why he developed such an appreciation for tamales). Well, I found this local family owned business in which they make bean, pork and chicken tamales at 3 local side of the street locations(they are street vendors). Very reasonable prices and they seem like such nice people. They will also make shredded beef and sweet tamales if you order ahead of time. The bean tamales have become my favorites. The dude stands outside on the street with his cart and they also provide homemade red and green salsa. You can tell that they are made with love and passion. They have a more extensive menu on FB if you want more than tamales but you need to order ahead of time. They have three local stops on certain days so check the FB site. It appears that they also do catering. Outstanding!

¡Ay, caramba! These tamales are fantastic! I happened to be driving home and saw them setting up on 92nd and Burleigh this Sunday, and man oh man, I’m glad I stopped by! They offered pork, beans, and chicken tamales at 3 for $ 5.00. The bean was by far my favorite with a cream cheese-like substance mixed into the beans. The chicken was also delicious. The side sauce was also spectacular. You could definitely tell that everything was homemade. Their hours of food cart operation are: Thursday at 84th and Appleton at 11am Friday at Howell and Oklamhoma at 11am Saturday at 84th and Howard at 3pm Sunday at 92nd and Burleigh at 12pm Wonderful, small, family-owned business! Stop by, reserve your tamales, or even get them delivered Wednesday through Sunday! They do charge a delivery fee of $ 3 or $ 5 based on distance.
