If there was a no stars option I would choose it.
Terrible disgusting if you could call it service.
Did not answer phone calls.
Did not take appointment.
Did not treat me like a customer.
Horrible! Do not recommend. I ACTUALLY recommend not to go there.

It was a lovely visit. Quiet and personal, the lady was efficient. Also, the lady gave me a 20% in my next visit.

So I bought a deal on groupon and actually forgot to look up reviews prior. boy am i glad i didnt! Overall i had a great experience– this place is a true example of ‘not judging a book by its cover’. Biggest pros: they use all aveda products, have a great nail polish selection, great nail job and you get to watch movies! Biggest con: If you’re in a rush, this place may not be for you. It took about an hour and a half to get a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. Brenda (my manicurist) seemed young in her career, plus i had nothing going on, so she get’s a pass!
Now onto the appointment:
After being led downstairs to what may seem like a sketchy basement, I was surprised to see two pedicure chairs, a huge TV, and a couple stations for manicures. Nothing fancy here folks, but not uncomfortable or dirty. I actually thought the place seemed very clean given it’s humble furnishings (plus i was able to watch Brenda clean the station after and she did a very thorough job). I can sympathize with the other reviewers in that the basement was a bit chilly though but they did have a space heater going.
I was allowed to pick a dvd to watch and then Brenda got to work starting with the pedicure. She was very meticulous in her approach, which i appreciated, and the products they used on me were wonderful. I also got a paraffin treatment too and my feet felt like heaven.
My shellac manicure went great as well. My nails are very short and i was anticipating maybe the same experience as the other reviewers regarding filing but i didn’t! She was gentle and followed my instruction about shape and cuticles. Brenda also kept asking if i liked everything, searching for reassurance that she was meeting my needs.
All in all im glad i didnt read the reviews prior to coming or buying my groupon. Brenda did a great job and was very accommodating. The picture i uploaded was from today, 3/​5, and i got my manicure on 3÷1− 4 days in and still looking great.

I will never be returning to this salon ever again! I bought a Groupon knowing I was getting a deal for a shellac manicure and paraffin wax dip. I was very surprised with the service and left feeling discouraged. The apprentice (who was very nice and I hope excels with her endeavors) did my nails, she hasn’t been formally trained for nails/​went to school for nails. I was told she learned under her boss which is great but it shows there is plenty of room for improvement.
She filed my already short nails to the quick, which caused a great deal of pain. She also did a really bad job on cleaning up my nails, I can still see some of the previous polish around my nail beds, there is shellac on skin, air bubbles on the nail, and my fingers around the nail aren’t cleaned up. The manicure is already chipping (3 hours later) and looks awful.
Out of all the manicures I have received this has by far been the worst. The techniques used were none I’ve ever seen and my nail beds are destroyed. She filed my nail beds down so much pressure on my nail hurts. I’ve already made an appointment to go to another salon tomorrow and have them remove the polish.
The service was very friendly, however the quality is really bad it looks like a kid painted these. I feel bad knocking the apprentice and this business but how do expect people to pay for a service with poor quality. My recommendations are to have a certified nail tech do nails, this way you can keep clientele. I was also surprised when the girl put already used files in a bag with clean products. She then asked me if she used some of them and I told her which ones she did use, the files and buffers she didn’t use she put with other clean tools meaning they’re all contaminated.
