Hidden gem in the city only known by those who use the skywalks. The $ 3 breakfast sandwich is awesome. Also, try the bulgogi or spring rolls for something different when they are available(check the daily schedule). It is a mom and pop shop run by very nice people and prices are reasonable. The reviewer complaining about the $ 5 minimum on credit card transactions seems very angry at life. Relax. Either carry some cash around or add a Snickers to your order!

I have been away from 100 E. Wisconsin for awhile and now that I am back in the area, I revisited Grace Deli and Bagel. I’m very sorry I did. As someone who has frequented this establishment more times than I can count, I was extremely disappointed to find that they still cheat their customers by making them purchase at least $ 5 worth of food if they wish to use your debit card. I know what everyone rushes to say: «Well that’s because they get charged too.» The minuscule amount that is charged to them is easily placed on the customer through their prices. Also, you cannot get past the convenience and ease of using a debit card. They have literally must lost my business so I have to wonder if it was really worth it for them. Tell you what… go to Waterfront Deli across the street for your breakfast sandwiches. They use REALEGGS, thick bacon, whatever kind of cheese you want and delicious croissants and their sandwiches are about $ 1.50 more than those fake, microwaved sandwiches at Grace.

You would never walk into this place unless you worked in one of the adjoining buildings on Water Street, but it’s a great find! You’ll have to walk into the lobby at Wells Fargo or Associated and get up to the series of second-story concourses that connect the downtown buildings. The main offerings here are bagels and deli sandwiches. All have been serviceable but nothing to write home about. For me the big find was the breakfast sandwiches. Until now my choices had been $ 6 egg sandwiches on Water Street or terrifying Jimmy Dean frozen sandwiches at the Chase concourse. The discovery of Grace Bagel & Deli opened up a new world of made-to-order egg & sausage-on-English-muffin awesomeness. It’s pretty much my nutritional mainstay these days and with a $ 2.85 I’ll be here daily. The other attractions here are the Korean specialties. I’m warming up to the homemade bulgogi(a spicy Korean take on Italian beef). Their Wednesday special of spring rolls is out of this world: fresh lettuce, cilantro, avocado, cukes, and crab. Huge portion of the healthiest eats for miles around and they sell out every last one. Highly recommended! The couple that run Grace are a kind pair and everyone in the offices here has gotten to know them, too. It’s much better than giving your patronage to Jimmy John’s. So: come for the spring rolls, stay for the breakfast sandwiches!
