I recently scored two free tickets to LFOA when I bought two twelve packs of Blue Moon at Discount Liquor. Win Win for me, and my wife, I get beer, and we both go to the LFOA for the first time. Blue Moon was giving free tastings(about 5 different beers) and they offered a free pilsner glass and provided markers if you chose to decorate it. The food vendors were Saz’s, Bel Aire Cantina, and Hue Vietnamese. The weather was perfect and there was a good turnout of people. The tents outside were filled with a wide variety of art from artists located throughout the country. Most of it if not all of it was for sale. A lot of it was expensive, but there was a fair amount that was affordable. They had paintings of course, sculptures, dioramas, pottery, jewelry, photography, lithographs, lamps, yard art, furniture, and a lot more. I honestly think anybody would find something that they’d like. We didn’t buy anything, but we did enjoy looking and got some business cards from a few of the vendors. The museum is currently under renovation, so that part is closed off. There were artists displaying their works inside the atrium and admission also included the feature exhibit which currently is Van Gogh to Pollock: Modern Rebels Masterworks from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery June 18, 2015-September 20, 2015.
My wife and I probably go to the Milwaukee art museum a few times a year. I like it, but I’m not as big of a fan as she is. This festival includes all the stuff you would normally see at the museum plus a whole lot more! So if you don’t get down to MAM very often then this is probably one of the best times to get down there.

I have been wanting to check out this festival for a few years now, but every year, we’ve had something come up that prevented us from attending. Not this year! The weather was perfect, making this an exceptional first experience. I was pretty stoked to get to see this festival first hand and it did not disappoint. The amount and variety of artwork, you guys! Not just fancy paintings, but pottery, jewelry, furniture, yard art, sketchings, blown glass, clothing, wall décor(that MOVED!) and so much more! Not everything was affordable for common folk, such as myself, but there was a lot that was, which I really didn’t expect. I seriously thought that everything would be out of my price range and exorbitantly so, but that was not the case. That being said, we chose not to purchase anything today, but hope to in the future. There was a beverage tent selling Miller product as well as Blue Moon and Pepsi brands. Blue Moon hosted a free tasting and everyone got a free 20th anniversary commemorative beer glass! Bel Aire Cantina, Saz’s, Hue Vietnamese and Cold Spoons Gelato were the food offerings. There were different music performances throughout the run of the festival, but the only act we caught was Stubby Chubbz Brass Band, which was very good. They played everything from Sinatra to the Jackson 5. Our admission included entrance to the new traveling exhibit: Van Gogh to Pollock, Modern Rebels and it was pretty cool. I got to see my first Frieda Kalo, Salvatore Dali and Andy Warhol. This festival did not disappoint and I would highly recommend it! Also, I met Peter C. and Erin M. in the silent auction tent! 90÷2015÷185
