Alright! Important for anyone who loses the only car key to their car. Don’t panic like I did… do NOT call your dealer… They Will scare the pants off you money wise. I have a 2002 Lexus RX300. Husband lost my only key. Lexus said, OHHHH. thats the year we cannot get a key for. We will have to replace the computer and that will cost $ 1,500 plus labor and key. Plus I have to have the car towed in. The service guy gave me a number to a locksmith that they use. Called him… left message. Meanwhile I call my mechanic and he recommended Whitlow’s locksmith in West Allis. Called them. again they were not equipped to take care of this car and this year! Gave me a number to Jim at Lock Doc. This man was the nicest most professional guy I could have gotten. Calmed me down and said without hesitation that he could help me. Told me it would be $ 295.00 and because they are AAA certified and I was a AAA member, $ 50.00 would be knocked off. Meanwhile the locksmith that the Lexus dealer referred me to called. Told him I found someone and what he quoted me. His response was…“Are you sure he was not a scammer” I would have charged you $ 400.00.” I kindly responded. Have a good day Sir! Really? I want to do business with someone like that? Jim from Lock Doc came to my house and in less than two hours had a key made and my car running! God bless you Jim you saved me and my marriage!

I couldn’t get my key into my ignition on one Saturday morning. I finally was referred to Lock Doc’s after calling more than a dozen locksmiths. What an experience that was; a lot of places simply didn’t have weekend hours, and of those that did either couldn’t help me or didn’t know whether they could help me. One of the shadier places called promising a small diagnostics charge, but before even sending someone out they told us that they’ll most likely want to replace my entire ignition — something that would cost a few thousand dollars. It was very refreshing when the owner of Lock Doc’s suggested several things for me to try before even mentioning coming out to me. After those did not work out, he came to pay me a visit. When he got here, he was very proficient with his work. He examined my ignition and managed to rectify the problem on the spot. He explained thoroughly what the problem was and made several recommendations about what to do if the problem reoccurs, as well as advising me about the fact that dealers do not keep appropriate ignitions on hand. Overall it was a really helpful experience, and he only charged the basic service fee. I believe that Lock Doc’s is committed to doing honest, good business, and my impression is that they care about their customers. They don’t *have* to teach others some tricks of their trade, but they do.
