Super good! Each NEWaukee Night Market I consider eating from a new truck, but I keep going back here. Great job guys. I hope I can find you over the winter!

Upgrade! This year, they’ve done away with the daily specials and bowls to the permanent menu, including the Chicken Binacol bowl and the Pork Adobo Bowl. Both are great, but the Pork Adobo bowl is my favorite! The chicken is marinated with a flavorful spice blend and served atop white rice. The adobo seasoned pork can be served over white rice or garlic rice, but order the garlic rice. Just do it! It’s amazing and the meat is so tender. I don’t think I took photos of these because I was too excited to eat them. Sorry. If I happen to find the photos, or get new photos, I will post them.

So this review is long overdue! Sorry Alexa. We had meat on the street as the late night snack at our wedding about 6 months ago and to this day people still talk about how much they enjoyed the food! Alexa and her family were so helpful and accommodating when it came to help our guest choose a delicious snack. We had a variety of kebabs that included chicken, pork, and beef along with a side of either garlic rice or pancit. Everything was absolutely outstanding and very flavorful. It’s too bad I live in Chicago because I would love to frequent this truck as much as possible. I will look forward to visiting my family in Milwaukee so that I can make a stop at meat on the street again!

I have to confess that I went to this lunch wagon just before closing. But they still had food and were serving while trying to wrap up their day. I had one beef stick with garlic fried rice. My companions each had the combo lunch of three sticks, rice and drink. I would have loved to try the pancit but it was sold out. The rice was a little crunchy and some of the meat sticks were overly charred. My meat stick was done just right.

I am currently living life sans grill(sob). So this time of year I get a frequent hankering for food on the barbie. The food truck Meat on the Street is a nice go-to when I need a dose of char. I stopped by when they were at the East Town Farmer’s Market on Cathedral Square. For $ 3 I got my choice of meat — chicken, beef or pork. They do one of two marinades — the Original(soy sauce based) of the Other(citrus juice based). On my visit, I enjoyed the Other marinade. The meat was fully grilled in advance and on the food truck she spent just a few minutes reheating it. Yum! There was about 3 ounces of meat on the skewer which was enough for me. If I had been extra hungry I would have ordered 2. I also ordered the Garlic Rice for $ 1.50. It was a nice portion — more than half a cup — and had a good texture and flavor. Meat on the Street served it up with a wedge of lime on the side and offered soy sauce and sriracha to dress it up. A great, tasty, and relatively healthy thing to eat while out and about!
