If U like to drink the best beer in the world O’KEEFE’S House of Hamburg is the place to go. Over 12 high quality German beers on tap. Anyone can drink German beer in bottles, but U cant get tap beer like this except in Germany. Try a 2 liter glass boot of one of the 4 Ocktoberfest beers on tap, delicious. Have a shot of Yagermister or a yagerbomb, and your in for a real treat, which I have never had anywhere else. My advice is to come to O’KEEFE’S House of Hamburg and taste for yourself and dont mix this beer with American beer. I would have to go to Germany to find a better bar !

Eeek! I hate to give it 2 stars when everyone so far has given it 4. But, I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Start with the positives: 1. I love the«up north» style bars — - this one definitely looks like that! Points for that! 2. The bartenders were very nice! 3. Points for having a band area! Now… the negatives :( I went their on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. First of all for having no one in the bar the parking was full… that was a bit confusing. Maybe the owners had multiple cars? Not sure. Anyways I was so pumped to finally get a drink since it’s pretty far away from where I live — -I get in to find out they don’t take cards. Okay, that’s fine. I have totally dealt with that before, in fact I will go as far to say that it’s my fault for not being prepared. They did have an ATM so I wait in line — -there are 2 people in front of me(apparently no one anticipated that they had to have cash). I get to the ATM, insert my card, look up at the screen… the ATM was empty. There was probably MAYBE10 people in the bar… and that’s being generous. So now I am just furious! It’s a Saturday night, it’s a bar, bartenders need their tips… WHYISN’T THEATMSTOCKED?! I kept a good attitude because I was there for a birthday, not for me. Then the band started playing… now O’keefe’s isn’t a huge place… in less than 45 minutes I had a migraine. The band was so loud that I wasn’t just screaming to hold a conversation… I was pushing the decibel barrier. Overall this was a painful experience… literally.

This is a great pub. I mean, it’s called O’KEEFE’S House of HAMBURG. wtf! Any German bar named after an Irishman has to be good. I went here with friends on a trip to Milwaukee and I was really impressed. We had intended to go to the Landmark up the road, but it was closed, so we went here instead. Being that it was a «plan b» bar located right by the airport, I did not have high hopes, but it was great. I should also qualify my five star review: I gave this 5 stars for being what it is: an excellent bar(and nothing else) with all that entailed. What it entailed was: –an excellent list of 12 or so taps, all imported, high quality German beers served in the correct glassware(you can order a pint or a half liter) –great music(Ray Wylie Hubbard followed by a surf-punk/rockabilly type CD one of the customers brought in: awesome) –friendly regulars hanging out and playing yahtzee on the bar –ample seating(the place is small, but it was not packed being that we stopped in on a Friday night) –cash only –a goofy dog named Molly –no college-aged children

Being a «F.I.B.» or «flatlander» it isn’t often that I find my self north of the border but recently I had to work and stay in the Milwaukee\Oak Creek area for an extended period of time. With that being said, I often found myself craving malted hops and barley after a day of work. I had stumbled into acouple of taverns in the area but this one took the cake. I found myself swilling german beers to no end. Their selection of import draft german beers is very impressive with me counting 18 different bavarian brews on tap. So far I have tried almost all of them. They have such names as Paulaner, Dab, Hoffbrau, and Hacker Pschorr on tap as well as many others with harder names to pronounce let alone type. Prices are fairly reasonable with having paid five dollars for a twenty ounce pull of most beers. The service is very thorough and helpful as well. The bar keep on hand during my visits was man named Miguel(extra points for not having some silly comment on my choice of head wear adorned in dark blue and orange) whom helped recommend different brews for me to satiate that uncontrolled thirst for good brew. Clientele is run of the mill with locals and regulars. This tavern is located across the street from the airport though. Overall very good place to enjoy a cold german brew or six, loses points for not having fish fry on friday nights.
