Pier 1 is one of those places that I always forget about — we drive by and I’m like, «hey, there are still Pier 1’s…who knew?» We were in the area and looking for a small table for our second bathroom and decided to see if they had something. This location has to be one of the larger ones in the area — it’s two stories with lots and lots of home décor stuff. Never fear, they still rock the papasan chairs — along with lots of «faux exotic» accessories like fake bhuddas and batik print throw pillows. Kind of like World Market but with less gross candy and more tacky painted wineglasses. They didn’t have exactly what we wanted, but we did find a lot of «contenders» at fairly reasonable prices. Ultimately, we ended up with some copper Moscow mule mugs that were 20% off(score!). The people that were working were SUPER friendly… I’m going to hell for this, but I was reminded a bit of Kristen Wiig’s SNL«Target Lady». Definitely better than the surly service I generally get at retail establishments though!

This is location is cramped and laid out kind of funky, some neat stuff there but the price is crazy on the majority of the items, not a bad place to walk around and get ideas.

Here’s why I like Pier 1 and particularly this location… #largeselection #greatholidayornaments #twofloors #friendlystaff
