Popeyes Fried Chicken

We see the commercials all the time and finally found a restaurant during a road trip. The food was good but service terrible. It’s fast food nothing special. This location is in a sketchy part of time. Proceed with caution and watch your purse. Two people in our group had to wait 20 minutes because they ran out of chicken.

DO NOT go to this location after 9 at night. I might have to change that to all hours but this is the time dropped my hubs off at work in the hood and wanted some Cajun spice. The problem, they are out of chicken. I then order the popcorn shrimp dinner. After a 15 minute wait I get the window and get my order. I put my credit card into the bullet proof turn style. Out comes my food. Hot I thought. I get home and my popcorn shrimp are like shriveled up and rock hard. That is $ 6.00 I will never get back. The mashed potatoes were the only good thing in the meal. Service is so-​so but you are a chicken place in the hood. How can you not have chicken?

I believe this may be a new Popeyes. Went through the drive thru and placed my order. Order taker was kind of in a rush and didn’t have a pleasant tone to his voice with no one else in line at all. I asked if they had Cajun rice? He replied we don’t have that here. Okay. Well, I got my food the chicken wasn’t and normally Popeyes chicken stays crispy by the time you reach your spot to enjoy your meal. Fries felt and tasted like it was sitting out for a while. I’m kind of disappointed with this experience from Popeyes. I’m sure it was just that kind of day for them so for me I won’t be back again to this location just thought I’d give them a try and now I know. So, just passing it along to others in the area looking for some chicken.
