My A/C stopped working on Sunday evening. I called them Monday based on a favorable recommendation from a coworker. They came out the same day and it turned out that a rodent ate through one of the wires in the A/C unit. It also needed a small amount or R12 refrigerant. They only charged me the cost of the service call and $ 25 for the R12. They came right on time and were finished in about 45 minutes. I will use them for my next furnace tuneup/inspection.

I called this place because a coworker referred them although I didn’t ask why since I trusted my coworker enough. My furnace was making some noises and cutting out at times. They initially sent out a tech but during his visit everything worked fine on my furnace which was frustrating so the tech did an initial look inspection, cleaned the burners and flame sensor, I was charged a service call fee and cleaning. I was disappointed initially because I knew this problem would rear it’s ugly face again. About a week later the noises and furnace outages had returned. I called Uttke again and this time two techs showed up on the same day, an hour earlier then I was scheduled for but regardless they spent about 2 hours troubleshooting and finding a few issues that they were able to solve while walking me through everything they were doing which was very helpful. They both sat there till they were sure they had solved my furnace issues and wrote me up a receipt but didn’t charge me for this second visit since I had already paid for an initial visit a week prior. I felt this was a pretty honest and awesome policy that will keep customers coming back like I will the next time something comes up. Home owner issues like this one involving a house with no heat are stressful so I’m glad I’m all fixed up without having to pay a ton of money which was my initial fear before calling a heating/cooking place.
