The Tracks. Stuck on the way out of Riverwest and on to the college side of the river. This place has Happy Hour on Saturday and Sunday. Now to me, that’s what’s up. The food is good and the drinks are spot on. What more can you ask from a neighborhood dive? The Tracks also has a volleyball area and during the warmer months the courts get busy. Great to play or spectate. tracks is a fun place to kick back and take down a few plus it’s well within walking distance of home. Perfection!

It’s a cozy bar with cheap food and drinks. The volleyball leagues are a hoot, and you play to win beer tokens. It’s not pretentious, and most people seem friendly enough. Plus, they have parking, so yeah. Go here.

LOVE the entire food menu here. A good happy hour as well. However, I have been there approximately 20 times and the service is almost always incredibly slow. This is especially frustrating when they are not busy. I called in a food order during a non-busy time and showed up 30 minutes later. I had to wait ANOTHER20 min after I got there. Great food, bad table service

I might give Tracks a three star as a decent, not exceptional bar except for a couple things. First, their volleyball league is well-run, officiated, and a lot of fun. We play in the C/alley league. The pitcher race is sort of genius for teams like us who aren’t competitive in volleyball but very willing to be compete to see who can drink the most beer. Pitchers count double on Saturday when there are no leagues. Their location on Locust and Humboldt is convenient for Riverwest and East Side dwellers. I’ve always had friendly service, even from the courtside servers who carry multiple pitchers all the way to the alley. It is really dark inside the bar but they have an outdoor patio in the back with a fire pit. While this is an okay spot for a beer, mostly I would recommend them if you’re looking for a volleyball league.

I play volleyball at Tracks on Sunday nights and I love it. There are 3 levels of competition and we are in the least competitive one. The league seems to be very well run, and the other teams in the league seem to be full of good, fun people. While my team is near the bottom of the standings in our league, we are near the top of the standings of the pitcher count standings. Yay, beer! I have yet to eat any food here, but everything I have seen looks really good. In the near future I hope to grab some dinner after a game and sit on the patio and watch some entertaining games of volleyball.

Fried and baked fish fry was really good. Service was pleasant, but a little slow. Try the wings for a no heat treat with really good tasting blue cheese dressing. Would come back again!!!

Horrible meal today. Went in at 2pm. The place was dead. Our male server came by and took our orders: 1 chowder, 1 soup and cheese curds, along with 2 fisherman’s delight. Soup and curds came our about 15 min after ordering. Both soups were body temp. After 15 minutes they sold be at least 140. Curds were great. Platters came out and the cod wasn’t beer battered anymore. They changed to corn meal. Blah. Shrimp was frozen and fried… ugh. The perch was mediocre. The service was fine. It wasn’t his fault the food was super sub par. Paid $ 55 on a $ 42 tab. Improve your food.

Always love coming here. Staff is really nice and the food is always great. They have free WiFi which is awesome for getting some work done while you wait for food. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s so close to my house. Just wish dogs were allowed on the patio :(

The Tracks is an old Milwaukee favorite. A cornerstone of RW/Locust st community. This place hasn’t changed much since the old days just the age of the customers. This is as popular as it was when I lived in Shorewood in the late 80’s. They have great parking, a patio. And bigger chicken wings and tater tots. As the early VB league winds dow another one begins. I had enjoyed watching and cheering on the UFC. useful funny cool Unilocal VB team. I consequently enjoyed watching an occasional baseball and soccer game here as well. Food 4 Amb 4 Serv 4 Loc. 3 Value 3 67⁄2014

I’m leaving a five star review because this is great food for the price and great service! Try the sriracha chicken strips. I love the fish tacos. Soup of the day can be hit or miss but you can’t go wrong with an order of tots. My boyfriend has gotten the WAR burger, fisherman’s fish fry, iggy pop, onion rings and nachos. Onion rings have a thick coating so we’re not big fans but everything still tastes good.

First Unilocal review for me, felt obligated. I had the cod fish fry last night; worst ever. Three paper thin filets overcooked and barely edible, tasted like cardboard. Too bad I don’t care for tartar sauce, which they give you a bowl full, likely to mask the«fish». A year prior I had tried their perch fry, despite negative online reviews, and even the waiter recommending against. I should have listened. The rest of their menu looks delicious, I wish I had gotten a burger but was Jonesin for a fish fry. No problems with the beer selection or waiter(and the clam chowder was good), but the female bartender’s annoying voice could be heard in adjacent counties; I was considering eating outside in the rain.

My friends and I have been playing volleyball league(C LEAGUEREPRESENT) here for yaahs and yahhs. Tracks never disappoints. The bartenders are some of the friendliest, on-point in Milwaukee. And so laid back and down to earth. And while you’re out on the courts the service is still great, bringing you pitcher after pitcher to keep you on your A-game. Again, C league. Plus, this is one of the only good-sized patios in the River West area with a fire pit and lots of seating. That’s hard to beat. Overall, a very laid back vibe that will accept anyone and everyone looking for a good time with some good brews. I have yet to really try the food, but I’ve heard its pretty standard bar grub. Cheers to Tracks!

I get it now. This place is a melting pot of all past, present, and future residents of the East side. So you used to be cool in college, but maybe now that you are in your 30’s or 40’s and want to play some volleyball, you prefer to hang out somewhere that isn’t full of douches or inundated with bratty children. The Tracks is your place! Perfectly situated on the edge of Riverwest and on the edge of the UWM neighborhood, it is perfectly situated for those who might have one foot in their past and one in the present. Although I’m probably twice the age of most of the people here, I don’t feel out of place. I started coming here for the volleyball league this summer and have realized that there are plenty of peeps just like me; white collar by day, Pumas by night! Recently I’ve fallen in love with the Sirhacha chicken tenders and righteous tater-tots, all at up-north cheap-ass prices! There is a huge parking lot, a large dining area, and side-boob pics in the men’s can. There is even a sweet fire-pit on the patio. Don’t forget about the three volleyball courts! It is about as East-sidey as a sports bar can get.

Your typical WI dive-bar with 2 decent volleyball courts. The food & beer selection are decent as well. I learned from experience however, that they could definitely use a little more netting around the courts!(Balls tend to end up in the parking lot, dumpster, or even in the street — yikes!)

I’ve had food here, I’ve had drinks here, and now I’ve played volleyball here… and all 3… were pretty awesome. But you know what is even more awesome, and will make me an even bigger fan? The service here is AMAZING. Maybe it’s because I haven’t spent a lot of time in Riverwest, but hearing the bartender say«What can I get you, friend» was simply awesome. The food wasn’t that great, but it was pretty good for a bar. They added cheese to the cheese curds which I thought was a little weird, but the burger was decent. I’m not sure how often I’ll eat here, but it’s definitely a great bar to have a pitcher or two at.

The Tracks is an interesting place — it’s a cross section of Riverwest at its best, but it’s still mostly a sports bar. Never is that more evident than during Volleyball Sundays. We arrived early and watched the crowd of neighborhood day-drinkers filter out, and the packs of bro-sters head on in. I like to think that Tracks is the Riverwest version of Leff’s in Tosa. Or more correctly, it’s predecessor in the life cycle of the bro… college bros from UWM head to the Tracks to play on one of the leagues and check out the ladies, then they get married & move to the West side and go to Leff”s, and finally end out their popped collar days at some bar near a golf course in Delafield. It’s probably called Mulligans or something. Anyway… Things worth knowing… the bar staff is really, really, really nice. They have Sriracha chicken strips that appear to be house breaded from actual chicken parts & they are very tasty. Tater tots are available. These are all important things to me, since I’ll be spending some time here to cheer on the Unilocal V-ball team. Also, I hear that there’s some softcore porn(boobage) in the gent’s but the ladies room has no displays? What’s up with that?

I have been playing volleyball here for the last 5 years so I have spent my fair share of time in this establishment. It did come over new owners a few years ago and the food is way better than it used to be. The bar staff is great to talk to and have a great selection of beers for you to try. The specials rotate daily with Tuesdays being build your own taco night, which always seems to draw a crowd. I believe Thursdays is Jamaican night where Red Stripe is super cheap. The War spicy chicken sandwich is amazing and comes on a pretzel bun. What more do you need? The wait staff comes out to the courts to take food and drink orders too. I love playing vball here since they have refs, there is always parking, all the courts are well maintained and well lit, and they have a fire pit to warm up on those cold fall days.

Tracks is Riverwest’s premier sports bar. Where human potential is realized on a magnificent stage. It’s Riverwest’s only sports bar, as far as I’ve noticed. And it may not even technically be a sports bar. Are there such things as train bars? What about train bars with volleyball courts? Tracks is a bar in Riverwest with sports on TVs. That makes it a stand-out. I’ve noticed that Bosco’s on Burleigh also has sports on TVs, but as of this review I’ve only coasted by it on bike. Looks like there’s only 1 review for Bosco’s. Perhaps it’s time to check it out with some Unilocalers? Back to Tracks. I first stepped foot on her sandy volleyball courts 2 years ago with a rag-tag team of old High School buds and new Milwaukee friendlies. I’ve been to Tracks a ton in my few years in Milwaukee and just about every time was sports-related. Either I used their cable TVs to watch key playoff match-ups whilst drinking a pitcher or two on my own, or I was simply there to drink pitchers and slap balls out of the sky. Their pitchers are $ 9 for a handful of domestics and $ 13 for any micro brew or higher end choice. This is great for the weekly volleyball league games. The league has a running competition among teams for who drinks the most pitchers during the season. Yes, you can even come to Tracks on non game nights and score pitcher points. Some of my friends definitely like the food. I rarely order any, but I remember that the Chicken Strips(a.k.a. Fingers) are plump and juicy. It’s very neighborhoody and easy-going. The Rabbi tends to stroll through, flowers in hand, every time I’m there. I’m sure it is no coincidence. The bartenders are friendly and make the place feel like a comfortable spot to watch a sport. There is a big parking lot that fills completely on game nights and there’s only a bit of bike parking(although more was very recently added). This review may be boring, but blame that on me. Tracks is fun and easy and better enjoyed with a few friends. The men’s bathroom has one urinal and one toilet«stall». The stall door leaves little to the imagination as it is sort of a cowboy swingy type door that touches the sitter(shitter) on his knees as he steals a desperate moment. I’ve certainly witnessed a few fellas’ last resorts as the door faces squarely to the urinal user’s right shoulder. Little toes poke out under the door. The bulletin board boasts a display of boobs and neighborhood events as a lovely juxtaposition of community togetherness and sweet feminine beauty smashed between two dudes trying to pretend they aren’t just inches apart in an ape shit show. Tracks brings people together. It can show us what is real. It uses the stage of sport and unwritten male bathroom code to reveal to you who you’ve become. Will you live up to the challenge? Also: Free Wi-Fi!

After having driven past this place a few dozen times and never noticed it, I was pleasantly surprised with my first encounter. Granted the finally sunny Saturday may have positively jaded my perception, I enjoyed the couple hours I spent at The Tracks. They have enclosed sand volleyball courts, which is the primary reason I came, but their service and friendly attitudes kept me beyond. The inside décor is much like an old supper clubby feel, and I’m told their food is ‘good enough’ to sit and watch the game, so it fills up quickly. We brought our pitchers out to the patio so I can’t comment too much on the rest, but I will be back to check it out and update my review.
