I echo Craig’s comments about the unpleasant Tutto Salad — fairly expensive for the quality(iceberg lettuce, few artichokes, and loaded with pretty gross peppers that were very salty). The service was very slow. I think my biggest problem overall was the atmosphere. Mostly it is pretty classy… but every single table has a TV in the wall and while this was okay for the Packer’s game, it felt very intrusive, and the screen was just too small we ended up looking at the bigger screen by the bar OR by the entrance, there were many. The TV in the booth made it feel like a sports bar and a classy restaurant tried to merge in an unflattering way. Fine, have a TV at the bar to play the game, but for heaven’s sake, take them out of the booths.

Went here with my mom to carb-load the night before a triathlon, and the beginning of our experience was pretty good. We were seated quickly, ordered a bottle of wine(they have a nice wine menu, btw), were brought a loaf of bread, and perused the menu. Our food was brought in a reasonable amount of time after the waitress took our order. However, once she brought us our check, she seemed to forget about us completely. I immediately put my card in the little folder and we waited at least 10 – 12 minutes before calling someone else over to swipe the thing, which is why this got brought down to three stars. While we were waiting there, I made eye contact several times and she just continued to check on other tables, take their orders, walk back to the kitchen, etc. Additionally, the check was incorrect because there was an extra drink on it that wasn’t ours, adding to our frustration(if we hadn’t looked at it before placing the card in there, as some people do, we would have been charged extra). In summary, good food, but service could be improved significantly.

Tutto Located on 3rd street it is easy to drive by and never know that it exists. As i did for so long before I found out about this space. Reservations are encouraged however upon arrival it wasn’t so busy after all. The space is really dark and intimate equipped with low lights and dark natural tones. I think that the flow is nice and the open model kitchen is awesome, you can look right through the kitchen. The vibe is much of a older eatery supper club almost. The owners were able to add subtle splashes of their Italian heritage through the experience. They have some standard Italian food with Modern foods such as Burgers and Onion Rings. The order consisted of Mozzarella Balls deep fried and places in a river of marinara, chicken tenders, onion strings and spicy blackened chicken pasta. The only issues were that the onions tasted like re-hydrated onions and not freshly sliced they need salt badly. The chicken tenders were coated in something like panko im sure, they also needed salt badly. The mozzarella was so good! I almost forgot about the small loaf of bread with this whipped butter that they serve that is so good so salty and savory. I could have eaten that alone. The pasta on point! Seasoned well and presented perfectly. I would go back here for sure. I might stick to the apps, I really enjoyed them.

Seemed to be a solid restaurant. I think I ordered incorrectly. I didn’t realize I don’t appreciate or like veal. I would say unless you’re a huge fan of the protein, stay away from that. I did have a chance to sample the calamari, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The house salad and the dressing that came on the side was also worth getting. Very nice. Beers by the bottle at $ 5 each. Reasonably priced wine menu. If you have a large party, sitting under the stairs and near the kitchen at a high-top table is what you might get. While it wasn’t the most comfortable table I’ve ever sat at, it was easy to hear what other people were saying.

Mozzarella Marinara was fabulous as well as the chicken parm. The service was good. I would definitely recommend

I wish I took a step back to take a photo for other Unilocalers — but it was so delicious looking I dived right in. I ordered the shrimp scampi based on the recommendation of our delightful server. The shrimp was humongo. Not kidding. I think it was a baby lobster. It was quick, hot and tasty. They were generous with their seafood and portions. I ate it all. I think everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Their sliders weren’t too shabby either. What I really loved is the owner(?) coming around and saying hi to everyone and making us feel appreciated that we came to dine with him. He’s either the owner or a creepy old man. I will go with owner. It looks like a pretty fancy schmancy Italian restaurant, but just having that welcoming demeanor made the experience that much more wonderful. They had a pretty good wine selection as well. Will have to make room for dessert or an appetizer next time.

Our original Valentine’s Day reservations cancelled on us last-minute because an animé convention bought the place out. So, my boyfriend frantically called Tutto for a reservation the day of. Sal, the manager, answered the phone, listened to the sob story, and told us he would accommodate us at our original reservation time of 5:30 before the evening rush. He greeted us at the door and seated us immediately. Our server was friendly and the food was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My boyfriend had the fettuccine alfredo, which had the thickest sauce I think I’ve ever had. My steak was cooked just right, incredibly tender, and the parmesean topping was to die for. We ordered the chocolate cake for dessert,(Definitely split it; it’s huge!) which was sinfully rich. Our two glasses of wine, crab cake appetizer, two entrees, and dessert came in at just under $ 100 before tip. The tastiness of the food, combined with Sal’s hospitality, made it a meal to remember. We’re from the Chicago area, but next time we’re in Milwaukee, we’ll definitely be back!

Came in for dinner while on our weekend trip to Milwaukee. My sister lives there and someone suggested this to her so it was everyone’s first time. We had a 7pm reservation and arrived about 6:45pm. The host(a man) made a big deal every time he sat someone before us saying that they had reservations before ours. Then it turned into a big production to find a table for 5. It’s not like you didn’t expect us; we had a reservation. we were finally seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. Our server Giovanna was very sweet but clearly overwhelmed. She forgot a few of the items we asked for and then when we asked again, it would take awhile to get them. The bruschetta was the best part of the meal, it came with capers which I love and tasted great. However, $ 9.75 for 5 pieces seemed a bit steep. We are from Chicago and even the best Italian restaurants don’t charge that for 5 pieces. My sister and I split the Cesar salad, and they did split it for us in the kitchen which was nice, but it was very lemony and I did not like it. They don’t offer salads which entrees, which is often standard in Italian restaurants. I also didn’t like my food. I ordered the Penne Bolognese. Now, I could be wrong, but it tasted more like sausage in the sauce than ground beef. I ate about 3 bites, which our server saw, but she didn’t even ask if I liked it or wanted anything else. We also split the chocolate cake which was pretty good but very dense. My BIGGEST complaint is that I got charged for my refills on soda. I haven’t seen anyone do this in years and I was not informed of the charges ahead of time. I was pretty irritated about that. This place needs to decide if it’s a sports bar(large tvs, smaller tvs in the booths, etc) or a fine dining establishment. I will for sure not be coming back on my next trip, I don’t know if it was an off night or what but overall, I really did not enjoy my experience here.

Consistently excellent. Food is fantastic, service is wonderful and in love with the atmosphere. I have been here on dates multiple times with my boyfriend and also brought larger groups of friends because I know everyone will be impressed. Definitely a must if you are in Milwaukee!

One of my favorite restaurants. Order takeout quite a bit from Flavor Cycle. Gio’s Home is the best sandwich. Veal pounded thin with bell peppers and marinara. But the bun, OMG. The bun is so good! Portobello bruschetta, chicken strips and mozzarella marinara are the best appetizers. Can’t go wrong! Editing my review to increase to 5 stars: Nicole and the Tutto team catered a private event for me last night and the service was phenomenal. They were tremendously easy to work with, incredibly responsive, very reasonably priced and the food was perfect. The venue had a catering kitchen and Giovanni himself assembled bruschetta in the kitchen on-site! The staff was polite and efficient, and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great evening. Throughout the night, the number one question I got was who catered the food because everyone went crazy for it. If you need a caterer in the Milwaukee area and are looking for something different from the usual options, give Nicole a call at the restaurant. Will absolutely use them again for my next event!

Have dined here numerous times since my first review and all have generally been good until my last visit. Excellent service but food was so-so. Others in my group were served food that was lukewarm. My Tutto Salad which is an entrée salad was about the size of a side salad and although it is listed on the menu as romaine lettuce, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, pepperoncinis, red onions, cherry tomatoes, and a red wine vinaigrette — it contained only romaine and a small fragment of an artichoke heart and 1 cherry tomatoe. A bit disappointing.

Italian food at its best. All of the dishes are great and you can’t go wrong with a glass of directors cut Pinot noir. The JoJo Blackwell chicken sandwich is soooo good! Thanks for sharing your food with us Giovanni.

It was good. It was fine. Beer menu is super mediocre. I was a little surprised to go at 530 on a night that Turner Hall had a great show and be the only people dining in there. Kind of a buzz kill. If I were back in the neighborhood killing time before a show, I might go again, but otherwise, I doubt I would pick it as my dining destination.

I’ve been there a few times. It’s a really cool dual atmosphere, with a classier sports bar atmosphere and a dressy casual restaurant. The italian food is great. I had the fettucini one time and chicken another time. Service was prompt both time. I only gave it four stars because one time they made it seem like it was such a big deal that I had to move my reservation and that they were«booked». When I arrived, the restaurant was almost completely empty.

Love this restaurant. Its kinda hidden, doesn’t stand out on the street but the food does! So do the drinks, their bartenders rock! I have never been disappointed here. A mature crowd, great place for a business lunch.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. They have a nice italian menu if you want a full meal, but also a good selection of bar food. Service is fast & very friendly. Great wine list, reasonable prices.

Had reservations for 20 and they sat our group upstairs and in a great spot! I will say it seems like a very small place but the food is LARGE! Everyone in our group loved the appetizers, entrees and desserts. Service was top notch also!

Great find! I lucked out with a google search on this one. Able to make reservations online, which was great. We both got the scallops. Perfectly cooked but could not finish such a large portion. Reasonably priced. Service was quick. I would return to try more on the menu. Yummy!

This place was so odd! We actually had a delicious meal here, so keep reading, but up front I’ve gotta say… it was odd. From outside it looks tiny and romantic. My fiancé and I walk by looking for a venue for our last quiet dinner alone together before wedding guests start to arrive in town… A chick standing outside smoking says, «This place has the best food ever! You’ve gotta try it» … we figure our venue is FOUND and we mosey in. Well. When we got inside, beyond that lonely romantic table in the front window was a sports bar. That’s right, huge TV screens over the bar and a smaller screen in every booth. The stereo was blasting … I mean blasting… Joan Jett«I Love Rock ‘n Roll.» This restaurant just can’t make up its mind. Our waitress was super nice but even that couldn’t make up for the strangeness of the ambiance. There are some tables in an upstairs area that looked to be quieter, so maybe try those if you are looking for a romantic dinner. I had the«pasta Sarafina»(whole wheat spiral pasta with cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach, zucchini, white wine-lemon-garlic sauce) and the hubs had the«spiedini»(hand-rolled tenderloin stuffed with Sicilian seasoning and mozzarella). Both were to die for! The wine list and the food support the«anniversary dinner» feel you get from outside. The challenge is ignoring the basketball game unfolding just over your right elbow.

You know what, this is just an odd place. It is the type of place that you go to out of convenience: because you are downtown for a game or a show. If I’m not downtown in that area, then I’m not thinking of Tutto for a place to eat. It is a sports-bar, yes… but just has an odd feel to it. And is it ever busy? I think it is just out of place on Old World 3rd street. I had the Chicken Cesar Salad with a few drinks while sitting at the bar. Nice service, good salad.
