Speedy instant service in ressurecting my chinese-​bestbox-​POSbook from endless Os/​PE/​Hdd nonboot spiral o’doom. Oh, it was after others closed, usually for the weekend. Being a student a funtional pc is not optional, I had 4 break in 2 weeks. Called Ultra1 after looking on Unilocal for PC, open now, only 1 listing & it looked to close in the hour. Surprisingly I got a person, not a recording, more surprising: after listening to me describe 2 – 3 PCs broken various ways or possibly dead, Jeff said, ‘well, if you need a pc then bring it over & I’ll take a look’. Huh?
He gave a rough estimate over the phone, saved $ and time. Since it Was late I brought newest one, Jeff got the story, explained likely suspects, remedy & cost for each; even had a spotless ‘Loaner’ notebook ready if I needed it that second-​thats good service. It was the problem he suspected, requring surgery (note, don’t always trust value notebook with solidstate hdd-​it maybe cheap magnetic drive). Only a 3h job, with data backup (even though all restore points were fried from error.) Jeff really does know his stuff, & goes out of his way to help customers. Due to mfg putting only nonstandard ports & drivers Vendor didn’t list it ended up taking more than 3hrs, but in short time tracked down components, had all updates, data, it even seems faster. I plan on returning soon with another, more complex job I would NOT just drop off at a box store. Another surprise, Jeff recently operated on the same (probable) part on a simillar custom unit-​though a year or so newer (new brand/​case) but simillar inside; so that specialized experience is a bonus.
Value: Good/​Great! For the time, extra hassle etc I had a working pc by morning, what was needed & I’d thought impossible. Price was more than fair, very good in fact, & service thats hard to find. I’d reccomend anyone with any type/​make of computer issues give Ultra1 a call.
