Veggas Pub

I have been here once and once is enough for me. Not quite sure how their Unilocal page is full of glowing reviews, but I had a pretty horrible time (sorry, not sugar coating it).
My band played here once, and typically bars do discounts for their performers. We were treated to free Hamm’s and dollar off taps. This is fine, and I’m not complaining about this (also, I have an embarrassingly large soft spot for Hamm’s). My biggest problem with this is that one of my band mates is pregnant, and she asked for a glass of water with a splash of cranberry juice and they charged her $ 2. Excuse me? If I didn’t limit my vulgarity on this site, I’d have A LOT of words for y’all. I still fume about this whenever I think of this place.
The service was subpar and they were over serving people. You know how I know they were overserving? Because people were falling into my while I was playing. I play an expensive instrument that I prefer not to have other people touch. I play in bars all the time and this has never been an issue. But to have multiple people fall full force into me during a performance and not apologize because they were too drunk? 100% not acceptable.
Maybe this was an off night? Whatever the case was, I will not return under any circumstances.

This is your quintessential neighborhood bar. Everybody knows each other and the sound of bar dice can be heard throughout the bar. The pinball machines in the back are great and the drinks are fairly priced. It does seem to be open only hours though.

We love Veggas! Luke and Precious are the greatest! Great specials and awesome company! Our favorite neighborhood bar :) the only reason why it’s not receiving 5 stars is because we never know when it’s open! :(
