Velspresso competes in a city with an emerging coffee culture by first and foremost having a dreamy and amazing(all local) product, but also with a unique story, setup, environmentally conscious background, and a gem of an owner /operator. This is truly a must try and you won’t regret it scenario.

Hands down THE best place for coffee in Downtown Milwaukee! Really, don’t go anywhere else. Rob is such a nice and interesting guy, and he treats his customers like family. More than once, I’ve seen him give free coffee to regulars. He knows how to form a relationship with the people he serves, and is really cool to talk to. Besides that fact, the coffee is consistently delicious. Ask for one of his custom drinks – I love the«Almond Joy» latte, with coconut and almond syrup and a little bit of cocoa added to the mix. SO delicious. Our family is on a tight budget, so I only buy coffee once a week, and when I do, it’s always at Velspresso. I look forward to purchasing one of Rob’s drinks all week!

I must express my excitement at no longer having to run a block down to get coffee! Now i simply must hit«m» ON the elevator and I am moments away from delicious stone creek brewed goodness. This place is really filling a void in the lovely federal building. It serves coffee, and espresso, lattes, as well as soup(to die for btw) and other café goods. The owner is fabolous by the way. He is super charming and pleasant all around good guy. I like his business! He’s deff a good add to the building. Thanks sir for your awesome business and always keeping my coffee ready for me!

Pedal-powered and pleasantly surprised. This innovative pedal cart serves up some delicious drinks. Rob, the brains behind the whole operation, is charming as ever and serves up an epic ice caramel chai. He’s at every event you can think of and always helping out those who need it. At the earth day celebration he even gave free iced teas to all the bikers powering the stage. His drinks are rather cheap compared to Starbucks and Collectivo, and made with more love and dedication to please his customers. I’d pick Velspresso over any coffee shop out there.

This pedal-powered coffee cart is one of the things that makes me proud to call Milwaukee home. I mean it’s something you would see in San Francisco or Portland or even Minneapolis. But it’s right here. In Milwaukee. The cart’s cargo bike construction is amazing in and of itself, but the coffee is what gets me out of my office and down the street. They make great lattes, chai lattes and iced tea and have good ol’ joe for traditional coffee-consumer types. Locations include in front of the U.S. Bank building in the morning and Third Ward at Milwaukee/Buffalo in front of Fashion Angels and Broadway/Buffalo in the afternoon.
