Beer, check. Case of water, got it. We are staying at the hotel across the street and going to a baseball game. They have peanuts in or out of the shell. Several types of sunflower seeds. Band aids for some blisters. No problem. Great location. Should have anything you need.

I was staying at a hotel very close to this walgreens. I didn’t have a car and it was freezing cold outside and I needed medicine. Too bad I missed the store by 3 minutes. A very pompous employee was shaking his head«no» at me through the glass and was very obviously not closing up shop yet. I don’t understand why this is the only pharmacy near downtown and it isn’t even open 24 hours. And why they hire such rude people. I was seriously begging and he wouldn’t let me in. Just cruel if you ask me…

This isn’t a review of Walgreens as much as it is of Unilocal. You have the wrong hours posted for Saturdays. I’m visiting from out of town and walked there this morning in the rain at 8:00 a.m. to get some cold medicine, only to find out they were closed. Also the pharmacy isn’t open on Saturday. I later found out all this information was correctly posted on the Walgreens website. So get with it Unilocal

I have noticed that over the last 3 – 4 months the employees here have been very friendly and helpful. Nice! The store is really too small for this downtown location in my opinion. The aisles are narrow and if there are other customers you’ll have to jockey around them. I love that there is a pharmacy, but again, if a couple of people are in line I feel awkward trying to figure out where to stand and wait. If you’re in a car, there’s a newer, larger Walgreens near Marquette just a few blocks away.

It is sad that this is the only option Downtown. Where do I even begin? Let’s start with the fact they are $.50-$ 1.00 more for any given product as compared to any other Walgreens. You would think higher prices would equal higher quality service. You’d be dead wrong. Yesterday I go in to get some band aids. I wait in line and when its my turn to check out the gal at the register takes the time to talk to her coworker who was brought baked goods by a customer. They then begin to discuss personal things such as how this male customer continues to flatter the employee even though the customer knows he has a girlfriend and child. And now I know too! Please, continue to talk while I stand here awkwardly! For the price I am paying I expect excellent service and they barely manage adequate. I realize they are the only real option in the downtown area, but I try and avoid them at all cost.

The pharmacist here saved me by noticing an issue with a Rx my doctor had not noticed. Never a problem with my Rxs, and there is plenty of merchandise for my needs.

***There are not many pharmacies in this part of Downtown Milwaukee; this is about it; it is a pretty big store and they have a lot of selection; it(like the sorta mall it is in) is kind of rundown; service was casual but friendly*** I think there are a few pay parking structures nearby; you might also be able to find metered street parking.

It’s nice to have this somewhere in downtown Milwaukee. I’m sure it makes things a little more convenient for living downtown. They always seem to have a lot of stuff on clearance and I’ve gotten things on the cheap numerous times. It’s always worth a stop in.

The tightest and narrowest Walgreens I’ve ever been in. I don’t want to fault them for that it is a very urban location and they can’t stretch out like they would if it was a free standing store. Hours are poor and even when they’re open, the pharmacy itself is even more limited. But when you’re downtown and without a car, this is the ONLY option. Pharmacist and the counter clerk were both awesomely friendly.

This is a Walgreen’s of necessity. I could tell you a lot of anecdotes from this place. The problem with this store is two fold: fold #1 — the relatively small selection compared to other Walgreen’s stores. This is due to the relatively small space. They cram everything they can in. fold #2 — one specific employee. All the others are pleasant. The female employees at checkout are consistently friendly. He is probably in his 40s, bald, and displays the following behavior: rude to female customers, makes comments to fellow employees in front of customers, overall sh*tty service, snide remarks, no eye contact for female customers. While I don’t want to get this guy fired, here is a story to demonstrate my frustration: On Friday, my boyfriend and I were in line buying throat drops and kitchen sink sponges. There was a hefty line and this employee called for backup. We approached his cash register. He was conversing with a female employee and when she left, he commented to the cashier next to him«I should have told her to keep her big trap shut… but I didn’t want to say that in front of her». The female employee at the other cash register displayed annoyance with the employee’s comments, too. My boyfriend then commented, «but you didn’t have any problem saying it in front of the customers?» This guy has to get a warning, or he needs to be taken off the cash register. He is incredibly unpleasant and rude, and management should not be subjecting their customers to this behavior. As previously mentioned, all the other employees I have encountered have been pleasant, sometimes even fun.

Not as comprehensive as other Walgreens stores. Still it’s clean and the staff is friendly.

This place thrives off the fact of it’s convenience and let’s all other factors suffer. Such as, cleanliness, organization, product selection, ect. After being to all the high end surrounding shops, I had expected to have atleast a «basic walgreens experience». Three stars for convenience. I’d be screwed If we couldn’t have gotten some nyquil and dremamine… And a 1.50 $ scarf.

I made the unfortunate mistake of coming to this Walgreen’s in an attempt to fulfill my out of state prescription. On both trips to this location I found one of the«pharmacist»(the chubby chick with the permanent scowl who clearly dislikes her job and should be fired for horrible customer service) to be flat our rude, unfriendly and not at all helpful. On top of her nasty attitude and customer service, I never got my prescription filled. On the initial trip, they were not able to fulfill my prescription because the insurance company was showing that my asthma medicine had been refilled less than a month ago which was incorrect(but whatever, these mistakes happen and I was sure a quick call would resolve the issue). So, since the store was close to closing another more helpful pharmacist said that she would call the insurance company in the morning, figure out the problem and let me know when the prescription was ordered and available. The day after next I got a text that the prescription was ready so I went back a few days later and was told that the prescription was not ready, had not been filled, and would need to be ordered. So why the text saying the prescription was ready? It was a waste of my time to go back there and heeding the lesson I learned before I decided not to let them attempt to fulfill my prescription again. All I got out of my two trips to this store was poor customer service, a funky attitude and a complete waste of time!
