I’ve been coming here for years now and they never disappoint. They have amazing burgers and milk shakes with very nice portion sizes. The fries i had the last time i was here weren’t that great but that’s all small potatoes considering. The prices are a little steep but you won’t be hungry afterwards. I got a cheeseburger basket for about 10 dollars. You can order outside at a type of drive in atmosphere or inside. They have a small little seating area. Overall i will be back!

I love this place :) During the busy season at my job, I often stop here on my way home(during happy hour!) for a burger and sweet potato fries. The food is simple, tasty, fresh, and the malts are awesome!

The food is usually pretty good but they constantly do something to mess up my order or forget to give me something I ordered. Today was the last time I’ll go to Mikes after waiting over half an hour I finally asked for my money back since I hadn’t received my food and it turns out the misplaced my order and never even started making my food. Their mistakes have become too much for me to handle and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I am only giving 4 stars because apparently I have been here 5x and there is always a long wait for my order. Dont get me wrong the food and icecream is super good. But i feel it would be even better if my burger was HOT when I get it. Its always pretty close to cold. But luckily im only 2 minutes from my house. That way i can just pop it in the microwave. I love the coleslaw with my burger. If you are ever in Portland you should drop in and get some grindz.

The best part of Mike’s is the local coupons. Otherwise, it is a bit expensive and every time I eat there, I don’t feel very good. It tastes pretty good while you’re eating it, but it just seems really really greasy. If you have the coupons, I’d say go for it, but make sure there is a bathroom close because it’s still fast food. I will give it a try from time to time though and sometimes it is pretty good. I personally prefer the incredible PDX Sliders down the street though, or even Killer Burger.

Burgers are good. Not a fan of seafood platters. Very little portions. I realize halibut is terribly expensive, but it’s not worth ordering from a customers standpoint is you get two small pieces.

I think Mike’s burgers are pretty much the best in Portland. I love them with grilled onions — YUM! The service here is always friendly and helpful. I will admit there has been more than one occasion where I’ve ordered onion rings and my order has gotten lost, but they’ve been quick to apologize, give me a coupon for next time, and get me my rings. They have great Gyros in the summer and fabulous happy hour deals that keep me coming back again and again!

Love, love, love this place! Best milkshakes and their burgers are delicious. I recommend the fish and chips basket, never gone wrong with that and a fresh milkshake. It’s a family tradition to hit this place a few times a year. If you are in the Milwaukie area and need some good shakes, this is the place to go.

Their milkshakes are definitely worth it, the food not so much, I just find it overpriced(even after coupons). This particular location tends to be very slow, and sometimes the cashier is rude. Expect to be starving by the time you get your food.

When I’m in town, I usually stop by Mike’s for lunch. Their burgers are good… not the best burgers in town but are definitely satisfying. Sides are fine. Service is friendly… it is usually busy and can take a little while to get your food but comes out hot and fresh. I would recommend to go during the day when they have lunch specials or look for the coupons they send out. The regular prices are higher and adds up, especially if feeding a family.

Beat burgers in town. Burgers a unique in its own way. This place reminds me of a real Happy Days place to enjoy great food and company. Seriously a must try don’t delay people!

Wish I could give 5 stars. The food is usually pretty good. The shakes are amazing. Service is friendly. It just seems like we can never get what we order and when I’m dropping $ 40 easily on a fast food dinner, I’d really like to get what is ordered. Unfortunately, tonight was the last straw and hubby has said, «we’re not going back. « Sorry Mike’s.

Service here is usually pretty good, this is the smaller of their locations. I love to come get a milkshake! Today the guy behind the counter was being a snob, I’ve never seen him before and I don’t know his name. Maybe he’s new. I ordered a banana split sundae. He replied like it wasn’t an item on the menu. So I pointed to it. «yes, I know it’s there. I’ll make it right now.» He was just annoying and rude, but everyone else is usually cheery.

Oh My Cheeseburger. I really like Mikes! Old School Fast Food. They are a little expensive but well worth it. The Shakes are to die for. For real shakes, thick and creamy. We went on a slow night and ordered burgers, fries and drinks for about 6 people. Un fortunately. They had only 3 staff members.(1 cashier. 1 helper and 1 cook.) so our order to took some time to be ready. I felt sorry for all the people that came after us. By the time our order was ready I was famished. We couldn’t get home fast enough to eat. Fresh Home Cut Fries. The Burgers. The Burgers we’re out of this world delicious. All juicy, cheesy and leaving me wanting more. I couldn’t have eaten another cheeseburger but I wanted another one. Lucky for this foodie. I am within range of 2 Mikes Drive In. Yay me.

Been a Mike’s customer for years at every location and as time goes by I become less enchanted with the place. I would wager that the ¼ pound patties are not a ¼ pound, which for the price they should be without fail. The halibut cost has gone up while the halibut portions have gotten smaller. Shakes are great but again, for slightly more than the cost of one you could buy ingredients and make shakes for the family. Cook time is lengthy but that means they are cooking it fresh to order. What prompted me to write a review was my final visit to them last Tuesday. I was waiting for my order to go at noon and the cashier who rang me and everyone else up started handling food without washing her hands. I was standing inside waiting for my burger and juice when someone from outside handed the basket of food they were given back in through the window. Apparently something was wrong with the burger and the cashier graciously took it from him, then went back to the kitchen area. She opened up the bun and discussed the issue with the kitchen. Based on her next move I’m thinking it was not warm. She handed the basket over and a bit later had it handed back to her, she opened the burger up again and touched the patty with her finger tip, holding it there for a few seconds then closed it up and walked it outside to the patron who ordered it. I watched my burger like a hawk and when I received it I hit the road. The food isn’t bad by any means but the $ is more than it should be. That being said, that will be my last meal at Mile’s Drive In.

BESTBURGERINPORTLAND. FACT. Kind of expensive but I’d say this is more like a Red Robin/Carl’s Junior type of big burger than a thrown together sloppy thing like McD or Burger King. Prices are fair. I didn’t have a shake or anything but I had fries and a cookie. They have a customer loyalty program but I didn’t pay attention because I was hungry. The burger was delicious. I’ll be back. It’s a drive-in type place, I think there might be a table or two inside(I paid at the window outside) and there are a few picnic tables outside that get afternoon/evening shade. Also situated really close to railroad tracks so I probably wouldn’t hang about for noise reasons. LOVEDIT.

This is the lesser– known of the 2 locations. Usually, there’s little or no line. If you need to read some heavily detailed treatise about a hamburger joint, I am about to disappoint you. If you want to find a place that sells the kind of burgers that are best eaten while bent over the sink, I just redeemed myself. Don’t forget some fries or rings. Probably should snag a shake, long as you are here. Good, old– school food.

3.5 stars. I come to Mike’s a few times a year, and I’ve had a consistent B-/C+ experience each time. It’s basically diner quality food, which means it’s average. The specialty burgers are usually good, but that’s more about the toppings than the burger itself. I got the Tillamook Walla Walla Burger basket today and loved the taste. The fries are also usually perfectly crisp. But the potato salad that the basket comes with is like from a cafeteria. My biggest complaint about Mike’s is the prices. I usually feel ripped off when I go here. Paying $ 8 – 10 for a burger basket is as expensive as a place like Burgerville, which is a step up from Mike’s.
