I have shopped at other grocery outlet stores and for over 25 years shopped at the one on Molalla Ave in Oregon city. Every time I walk into this store it smells offensive and is completely cluttered. The location is close to where I shop for senior citizens, so I continued coming. Today I had some returns, and I was treated like crap by the cashier and the female store owner. I tried voicing my complaint to the male store owner, but his wife interrupted me and LOUDLY proclaimed the store policy for all to hear. Store policy had nothing to do with what I was talking about. I was sharing with him how the cashier made me feel. I’ve spent over $ 600 in the past two months here, so I expected to be treated like a valued customer. I was not. I’m never returned anything in the past and had all my receipts which were marked and everything. The purchases were within the last two weeks so there shouldn’t have been a problem. Cashiers of been very rude to me on several occasions lately, so I won’t be back to this store ever again.

I was driving down McLoughlin, and stopped in the other day. I am glad I did. I found excellent tasting tomatos for 25 cents each, avocados for 50 cents each, goat cheese for ½ what it is at Trader Joes.

I hope I am not premature, but they have reorganized the store and I don’t smell anything bad. Hope they keep it up.

I wouldn’t buy any type of fresh food here. The prices are great but everything is close to expiration(or even expired already!) or been discontinued. I only consider buying non perishable items at the very least! Great prices on things like pie pans and other random household items.

Family owned, clean, friendly service, and extreme values on great«high end» products. What more could you ask for? Shop here first and save a lot of money. Great selection of beer and wine. Frozen food deals are pretty amazing.

I don’t buy any of the food here… ick, for I mostly eat organic, unprocessed, whole foods, but surprisingly every now and then I find some good deals on wine. So if the timing is right you can find GREAT wine for very cheap. It is very hit and miss, so have to be open to it. That’s all I tend to buy there though.

Yesss! Grocery Outlet did it again! Not only did I score 5(!!) boxes of «Boo Berry», my all time favorite cereal for $.99/box(that you can NEVER find in the chain grocers), but I also discovered that my favorite chunk cheese to drink wine with is… drum roll please… Parmesan! I’d had it a million times and never knew which cheese I was loving until today. Oddly, I was looking for smoked Gouda(since my co-workers guessed that was the white cheese I was trying to find & bragging about Grocery Outlets vast selection of cheeses) but came across a triangular block of Parmesan. In checking out the package, I just knew the texture looked right. If I was wrong, oh well. It was only $ 2.99. 2 months ago, I also got my brother flannel«Guinness»(as in the beer) pajama bottoms for Christmas, for $ 6. I got myself a hand full of Old Navy tank tops for $ 2 each. I also got a cart full of toys for the Toys-For-Tots toy drive… all from 50−75% off the regular price. And they weren’t cheap toys. There were Barbie sets(Mattel), Bratz dolls and lots of firetrucks boy toys too. Add to that their great selection of discounted wines(half to 75% off sometimes), and I think they’ve established them self as my favorite store. The only thing about Grocery Outlet you have to keep in mind is, they will not always have the same products week to week. These are items that larger companies ordered too much of… so if you find a food item you love, stock up! You might not see it the next time you shop.

What a freak show this place is. The people watching here is awesome. I am a freak and thus, I am simply joining my fellow freaky people here. And yet… how great are these bargains? GREAT. Naked smoothie drinks this past week for 99 cents? WTF? Juanitas Tortilla Chips in the big ass bag on the cheap? WTF! I’m fairly sure that this place is the outlet for Winco foods(I’m speculating) and I am a fan of both places. There are things you should steer clear of, sure, but who am I to pass judgement on you if you think that all that ground beef for just pennies is quality meat? I will continue to buy from this store. You should too.

I always like shopping at the Grocery Outlets — one can get many things at highly reduced prices, and sometimes they are unusual items not readily found elsewhere. Of course, they don’t have everything. They deal in over-runs and surplus items, though they try to keep a reasonable selection of produce, cheese, lunchmeats, frozen and canned foods, etc. stocked. If you like something and its a bargain, then stock up on it — it may not be there next time you come. I got tubs of soft tofu for 99 cents. That didn’t used to be unusual but lately tofu has gone way up beyond that. So, a good deal. And they had 99 cent packets of palak paneer. I bought several. This is certainly an acceptable Grocery Outlet.

As with all Grocery Outlets, it’s not a one-stop shop. You can get some great things at a great bargain, some okay things at an even greater bargain, and stuff that you think sounds good at the time but then become afraid of for dirt cheap. One time I found a whole case of these little Greek dolemades. I thought I was in heaven, but restrained myself to one 29 cent can. I’m glad I did. I took it home, popped it open, ate maybe one or two(I was trying to pretend they were good so my parents would try them), and there it sat on the counter for the rest of the evening. I tried to pawn them off on my parents, my girlfriend, a friend that came over. They were smart to say no way. The oil(I can only assume) had started to congeal. Good times. Contrary to my previous statement, prior to this edit, the Milwaukie GO does have wine tastings. So weird. Also, when you open the dairy case, a cow moos. While this doesn’t bother me, it means my girlfriend and I have to go to Safeway to get milk. So still, not 5 stars. But they did have ALMOST everything we needed.
