I got the Pain Perdu with spicy chocolate powdered sugar and my hubby got the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious!!! The grits are a must taste!!! Love the atmosphere, and it was very clean with very friendly people working there, most of whom are related– it’s a family affair.

Décor is ok, but food was great! I had their Jambalaya, which was very spicy & very tasty. Unfortunately, only 1 table there gives you a picturesque view of the Sierra Nevada, which would add to the dining experience.

We were looking for breakfast and read good reviews on Unilocal.Wow, were they right! The andouille sausage scramble was great. Just the right amount of heat. The corn cakes were light and sweet and simply delicious. We would definitely go back!

Awesome Cajun/Creole food! I had the jambalaya and it was great, not too spicy, good flavor and very filling! Wife had the Cajun deep fried shrimp and chips, breading on the shrimp was perfect. Light and crisp. Dipping sauce was delicious! Love the simple décor. Don’t pass this place up!

What a surprise! This place is amazing. I read others recommended the sweet potato tater tots and they were spot on. I’m dreaming about them still. I had the Muffuletta sandwich and it was great! Service was excellent too. This place is going to catch on soon. Can’t wait to go back.

I didn’t want to downgrade this place but when we pulled up after listening to SIRI’s or «what’s her name“‘s directions on my Android, ITWASNTTHERE and we couldn’t find it. Signs would really help for sure. It would help if the owner would do the same experiment as us. Google it on an Android and listen to the directions. You will see what we mean.

Excellent food! We had the seafood and chips and the Gatsby sandwich and both were really good! The fries are wonderful and the B-dubbs sauce sprinkled over them makes them even better. Looking forward to getting there before noon and trying their breakfast menu!

This little gem is tucked away but absolutely worth finding! Amazing amazing service! Prawns and chips were to die for with the sauce. Chicken Ceaser is great with a nice refreshing light dressing and the Gatsby sandwich is delicious. Relaxing atmosphere and fun décor. Also! Try the fries or sweet potato tots both equally delicious.

My husband and I had lunch there today. The food was very good. I forgot the name of my salad, but it’s a chopped salad, and it’s spicy. We will definitely go back.

I’d Eat There is a great Cajun restaurant in Minden that serves some awesome food that is typically hard to find in this area. The menu isn’t terribly expansive but that is fine because what they make is made to perfection. Their jambalaya is one of my favorite things I’ve eaten around the world. The staff is great and fun, providing excellent service with that special small town touch. The place can be a bit tough to find off 395 if you don’t know where to look but this place is wonderful and well worth the hunt. Most of the locals in town don’t seem to love new restaurants but this one has been around for 2 years and likely will be around for many more if they can keep up this great level of service. If you are in Minden or even just driving through and looking for a great lunch place, this is easily the place to be.

Great food and service and reasonable prices. This is one of the few Creole restaurants in the region, making it difficult to compare, but I have spent a great deal of time in New Orleans and in other regions especially LaFourche Parrish of Louisiana. I am not an expert on the cuisine, I do have an idea of what to expect. The relatively limited menu is filled with excellently prepared and nicely presented items. The muffuletta is the best I’ve had since Central Grocery. The strip and grits is delicious. There is nothing here I would not order again. The location and atmosphere is ok considering it is a small restaurant in a strip mall, which is perhaps part of the appeal of feeling like you’ve discovered something. Access is easy to get to off the main highway going through town with plenty of parking. Despite the sandwich board sign on the highway, it is an easy place to miss driving by and the name is unusual for a restaurant. It’s definitely one of those places you usually find by word of mouth. For these reasons I give it 5 stars.

Visiting from the Bay Area and was staying at the Holiday Inn across the street. Pretty much looked on Unilocal and found this place has pretty high reviews. DIDNOTDISAPPOINT! I haven’t really tried Cajun/creole food so I don’t have much to compare but I loved everything we ordered! I got the jambalaya which was so flavorful and the sweet potato tater tots were amazing! Sweet, salty, crispy goodness. YUM. My boyfriend got the club sandwich which he enjoyed. The chicken was nice and juicy! Service was friendly and it was nice seeing they had some regulars chatting up the staff.

Have had this place bookmarked for awhile and was recently in the Minden area and able to give it a try for breakfast. I love restaurants that are a little different then the typical faire. So tend to favor ones that are creative or unique with thier food. I am also a big grits fan and so ordered thier shrimp & grits breakfast. Although have never had grits with shrimp, and these are not 2 items I would have thought to put together, I really enjoyed this! Their breakfast menu is not large and does not have regular pancakes on it so my little one immediately started to moan. However convinced her to remain open minded and try the New Orleans style french toast. Well the good news is she loved it and ate it all! I also appreciate they serve maple syrup instead of some sugar flavored wannabe syrup with the french toast. The service was also very good. We came shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning and there was only a few other customers at that time. However our waitress, who appeared to be the only server and was also the hostess, checked on us regularly and never let my coffee cup get less than half empty. Plus she was also instrumental in convincing my daughter she would like the french toast! So if like trying something a little different, and let’s be real its hard to be more different then a Cajun/Creole restaurant in this area, then definitely recommend giving this place a try! We enjoyed alot and so will be back, and look forward to trying thier lunch menu.

Okay this place is awesome. Like the ambiance, but the food is the kicker, absolutely fabulous. Had lunch, red beans and rice, loved it. Came back next morning for cornmeal pancakes… amazing. Staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are really well priced for such great food. Had two wonderful days of great food with my wonderful daughter-in-law and my precious granddaughter. Would highly recommend. Sweet find in Minden.

3.5 stars rating This place is a small place like a mom & pop diner and the location off the street in a strip mall. When we came in, there were some people already there. We came on breakfast time so we ordered their breakfast menu. I ordered the Pain Perdu and my husband ordered creole scramble. While we waited for our food to be serve, there was something happened(noted: not because of the restaurant service, because a rude lady customer who think my lotion hurt her eyes, it was very rude so that my husband decided to left and take out our food to avoid making a scene and get me out of the restaurant before I made her feel terrible. Just stay at home if you have a problem with any fragrance in the public because you’ll get offended with everyone in the public.) I chose a sausage for my French toast but by the time we got home the food was already cold and had to be reheated. But sausage was good and cooked perfect. I’ll try it again next time while it’s still hot and fresh. My husband’s food was delicious. The potatoes was very good, very tasty sprinkled on it. Sweet potatoes was very tasty too. Service was nice and friendly. Even the server felt bad about what happened. Well that’s not your restaurant fault at all. 3.5 stars for now and We’ll definetly be back for a proper sit down restaurant experience next time but I hope next time I hope I don’t see that woman again.

I decided to try this place out again. I feel like they have really upped their game. The restaurant felt a lot more inviting and the customer service was great. I tried the cornbread pancakes and the shrimp and grits. I would recommend both.

Wow. I’ll start there, and my hope is that enough folks will come to this place that I get to continue to say«Wow» for an extended period of time. ‘I’d Eat There’ is a very fresh addition to the eating out landscape in the Carson Valley and it’s a restaurant that’s filled with flavors that are unique, tasty, and fresh. This is the first time I’ve had a meal there, and the second time I’ve had their food. The first was a ‘to go’ order at lunch. This morning I enjoyed an omelet and my wife had a scramble, and both were full of fresh vegetables that tasted fantastic. There were so many tempting options that it was difficult for the two of us to select our dishes, and we were not disappointed when we did. It’s important to note that the menu is filled with Louisiana flair, and thus you’ll be getting some spices and flavors from the South. In fact, there is a little history lesson on the table that explains how Louisiana developed its flavor from the people that lived there over the last several hundred years. The lunch menu has a number of items worthy of consideration, and, again, it will be difficult to choose when I return for lunch. The question that will be answered in the not too distant future will be whether or not the community, and the people travelling HWY395 embrace this young and promising business enough to keep it open. I, for one, am rooting for success. «I’d Eat There» is adding to the great culinary options in town.
