While my initial thoughts were that this place was going to be too hipster for my liking, a friend dragged me there for dinner one night and I had a very pleasant experience. Very friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere, and some damn good coffee/tea make this place a worth while hangout if you are facing that typical Long Island predicament of having no where to go or nothing to do. The décor was an almost modern-day 80s retro(if that even makes sense at all). Some of the tables in the back even have some old board, trivia, and card games for your entertainment. I recommend trying the burger with avacado, it was fantastic. This also happens to be right by the Mineola train station, which is a very convinient location if you want to grab a bite before heading into NYC for the night.

Just kidding guys! Definitely still open. The BAT burger is on another level, and the huevos rancheros are great. Plus they have a bunch of different ice teas. Anya is a cr@zy person.

Celebrating my birthday here was a good idea. I’m much more willing to support this local place than a DD or Starbucks, and theres even a «supposed» 10% discount for my school’s ID.(«supposed» meaning they didn’t give it to me) The food was really good. Ultimate grilled cheese and a mochachino were quite the combination. Red Velvet cupcake was heavenly, especially the frosting. We had a good time taking inappropriate pictures to be defiant of the«Please Be Appropriate» signs. I also played Jenga for the first time in awhile, and the idea of a arcade game in the bathroom is pretty endearing.

Mo Joe is such a cool corner coffee shop up the block from where I live. I love the vintage Mineola décor and the places is kept very neat. I have been there a dozen times or so and I really dig the Iced Mud Mocha. Damn, now I want to go there tomorrow morning :). *Update 7÷9÷14 — closed for a few years.

Mo Joe is a great coffee shop with killer sandwiches. Their coffee is definately on the strong side, once you’re used to it it’s hard to go back to lighter blends! They have various breakfast offerings including Irish oatmeal, bagels, and b-fast burritos. The sandwiches are unusual and they have very fresh ingredients. The gelato is a treat is they have the cooler open. Such a needed spot near Winthrop. Often filled with hospital employees during the week, it can get busy during lunch.

Another REAL café on Long Island. Formerly known as mudd coffee — Mo’joe is young, hip, and located in what looks to be a former garage. No, really. There’s a garage door at the front of the store that’s open all summer. Very unique. Tables, window seating a big plushy leather couch add to the creature comforts in this place. Mo’joe has a very relaxed atmosphere, no crazy hipsters, no annoying preteens and no painful music playing.(see: wtiches brew) It’s a splendid hangout spot on warm weekend afternoon with a book. Watch out for sundays, they tend to randomly close early. Oh, did i mention that there are arcade games in the back and in the bathroom? Not so sure about their ability to function, but i mean who doesn’t want to do their business and rock out donkey kong? They serve your stock coffee, loose tea and healthy treats. They also have vegetarian specials weekly and half orders on their paninnis and wraps. I haven’t had anything bad here. Try the Fiji green tea. The biggest downside of Mo’joe is the location. I know it’s not hard to miss the bright orange earth colors from the street, however, they are next mineola train tracks, Winthrop hospital and a main road. Phew. I had to park a few blocks away since all the metered street parking was taken and i was weary of the hospital lots.

I love their coffee. Their dark roast Sumatra is to die for — I usually find dark roasts at most places to be very bitter but this place does it perfectly. It’s maybe 3 blocks off of Jericho turnpike and next to Winthrop Hospital and the LIRR station so it’s really hard to miss the place… oh right, did I mention the color scheme is orange, yellow and brown? Yeah, it’s hard to miss. They have these great garage door«walls» that they lift up when it’s nice out, plus the great comfy couches makes this place perfect to grab a quick bite with friends and chat a-while. Like One N. said, the staff here’s really great and their food… yum! I’ve tried their oatmeal which is great and they always have some sort of special dish that is always a hit. Oh and their cupcakes!!! … First time I brought a friend with me, she got this marshmallow latte that she drank up in 2 minutes and dreamed about it for days until she couldn’t resist the temptation any longer and drove 30 min out of her way to get another. It was really that good. This place is really unique for the area and worth the trip, even at half an hour away.

Great place! Good food, interesting décor, cute tables! What more could anyone ask for? The only way that I would change this place is to lower prices. But the place is worth it. Staff, personnel –polite, kind and efficient. Went there the first time and it was a great surprise, different than your usual morning or afternoon coffee joint. Something different, in a good way, than Starbucks. You have variety, lots of old-fashioned memories(tables coated with clear resin –filled with momentos from the past.). The restrooms are a picturous wonder and clean too. This is defiintely a place you want to visit if you are going to Mineola or if you live in Mineola. Their bread is tasty, and the breakfast foods are the best. This cute little café is so worth going back to, over and over again.
