The Mineola Memorial Library is full service library staffed by an excellent team. They have a terrific reference department on the main floor, and an entire lower level dedicated to the children. The Village of Mineola did an expansion some years back which created the new space for children and more technology. There are computers and printers available in library for public use(with a library card, of course.) There have a very complete selection of CDs and Videos and are always getting in new selections. They also have a great«e-book» selection. This is something that makes this library so special and it right off there web site: «If you or a loved one cannot visit the library, we can bring the library to you! We offer this free service to any Mineola resident with a permanent or temporary impairment that makes coming to the library difficult. Instead of visiting the library and checking out materials, we’ll hand-deliver the materials directly to you.» This kind of service makes this library so special. I love the fact that they are connected to the library system that shares material among member libraries. I can get many CDs and books simply by ordering them on line. They send you an e-mail once they have it available. The library is centrally located in Mineola in the Mineola Memorial Park.
