This is my 4th year in a row attending & as always this is the best experience of my year!!! We always bring a great spread but its the fellowship with others & the fantastic horse racing that brings us back every year…
Oh, & the outfits are TRULY AWESOME!!!

One review… hmmm. I guess our Unilocalers aren’t into the pagentry that is horse races. Me, I’m not that into it either but one time out here and you may change your tune. Imagine big hats, bow ties, seersucker galore and a tailgate party the size of 10 football fields or more probably.
It’s really a big party combined with the racing. Table set ups vary from simple to outstanding. Same goes for the outfits. I love it.

This year was my first time attending the Queen’s Cup at Steeplechase, and it was a blast. We even sat with the Mayor of Mineral Springs — wow, he had some stories. We stayed for half the races and were lucky enough to have a large tent VIP pass, so we had some shade, open bar & food buffet. I know a lot of people who go the infield route to tailgate and from the pictures, can see it’s a great time there as well. Definitely worthy of an annual trip! The grounds are so beautiful! For racing in the Charlotte area, it’s a good as it gets!
