Just passing through this small little town when my husband and I decided to find somewhere to grab a bite. We came upon this little gem in the middle of no where. At first we were hesitant to eat here, but decided«what the heck»… We decided on ordering a bowl of chili & some home fries. Both were prepared fresh and had us wishing we had ordered more. Staff was very friendly & the owner even came up to check and see how everything tasted. Definitely a place where you shouldn’t «judge the book from the cover»

Good, simple, home cooked food. Easily the best in Minersville in terms of price, quality, and the way you smell when you leave(as opposed to another breakfast joint down the street). The owners are great locals who are always welcoming. They also run a small Bible study in the restaurant during the week for those who are interested.

When it comes to breakfast in Minersville, you have two solid options(not counting Dunkin Donuts). Myrtle Mays is one of those options. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, but during the week it’s pretty slow, so go then if you can. I’ve tried both the eggs benedict and berry french toast and both were great options. The eggs benedict was cooked well and was served with great homefries. The berry french toast is good, but can do without the berry/juice syrup that it comes with. It was a little too sweet for my taste. Add in the fact that you don’t leave here smelling like fried breakfast food for the rest of the day, and it’s quite the win!

Nice little eatery with a good variety of menu choices. Serving sizes are a bit small for the price you pay but the food is good. Very friendly staff!
