Off the Beaten Path is charming, clean, and filled with unique gifts and even some antiques. Unique is an often overused word but within these walls lies a treasure trove of delights. They opened in 1988 and depending on season employ between 10 and 19 people. You park on the street which goes for most stores in Minerva, but you never have far to walk. I’m not listing everything they sell(go see) but a couple of my finds. Papyrus gift cards and writing papers and Dammit Dolls. The little dolls are hand made locally and described as for use to hit a wall while you’re angry! Best item of all was an antique child’s stove by Lionel in really nice condition. Gourmet chocolates to home décor will keep you busy for a long time. Plan a couple hours here to see everything. I’ll return whenever I’m in the area. Nice workers are easy to talk with and they really know what they sell.
