8th Chakra Massage & Bodyworks

I purchased a groupon for a 90 minute massage at 8^th Chakra Massage & Bodyworks back in September, 2012. It was set to expire in January, so I called in December 2012 to make an appointment. I was shocked to learn that they were booking out to April! Not wanting to lose my money, I took an appointment for 4÷25÷13. I was assured that my groupon would not expire due to their inability to book me sooner. Well, April 25 came and just before my 10 am appointment, the massage therapist called to cancel!!! She said she was ill and had to reschedule me. She said she had openings the following Sunday but when I said I would take any time on Sunday, she said she didn’t have her appointment book and that I should call her appointment desk. Many phone and text tags later, I still didn’t have an appointment and here it is May now! I am so very frustrated with the way these people run their business. If a business is going to offer a groupon, they need to be able to provide their services. Obviously, 8^th Chakra isn’t managed well at all! Don’t waste your money.

I just had a massage from Lesleyanne and it was fantastic! She instinctively knew what kind of pressure to do. She is passionate about what she does and you can tell. She’s also incredibly intelligent, introspective and interesting to talk to. I was feeling chatty during my massage and I lucked out with Lesleyanne. I used a Groupon from my brother and I am glad I went. I plan on going back as soon as I save up a little.

After a bit of a rocky start they have the kinks worked out. To set up an appointment just call 855−239−9499. The appointment service works 1 – 5 pm CST. I have no complaints leaving a message as they got back to me within 1 business day to set up my appointment.
The massages here are fantastic (I’ve had 2 so far), and the owner is a wonderful woman who has a passion for her field — healing people through therapeutic massage. Give them a try! They fill up fast however, so it helps to be a bit flexible.

Whatever you do, please do not use this massage service! My one-​star review has nothing to do with the actual massage because after stress-​enducing time and energy put into trying to make this massage happen, I never did receive the touch of this business.
My husband bought me a massage from 8^th Chakra as a gift when I returned from Africa and was about to walk into a stressful time moving our home alone. He intended for me to use the massage right away, but when I called to book the soonest appointment was over two weeks out. After many texts (yes, this vendor will not return calls and prefers to do business over text — weird if you ask me) we got a date and time settled.
When the day came, I took the morning off of work and drove the 20+ minutes to the location only to find myself waiting for over 15 minutes until I finally tried calling this masseuse. Of-​course she didn’t answer, but instead texted me back that she FORGOT. She offered to reschedule, but to my recollection a massage is suppose to be relaxing, not cause extra stress on your life. So, I am now going through the painstaking process of trying to get my money back from Groupon.
All together this is a shifty business. No calling, just texting AND standing up a client, this place should be shut down.
Save the stress and don’t book with 8^th Chakra.
Now I need to find a place that will actually get me an appointment to relieve the stress caused by this massage location.

Make sure to call and set up an appoinment. Doing it online will only get you a call saying that they need to cancel. I had a coupon to this place but after two failed appointment set ups I just said screw it.
