I finally got the chance to visit ABC electronics. I’ll gladly go back. First, pay attention to the hours. They aren’t open nights or weekends. Second, the parking is on-the-street. These are the electronic parking spots, so you can use a credit card or coins. OK, once you get inside — and there are steps up, so no wheelchair access — it is narrow. The aisles are cramped. This isn’t a complaint, just a description. If you can’t get to the store, you can call, and they have an eBay ID of SARADEAN3. The e-mail address is . Also know that they have a $ 5 credit card minimum charge. Let’s talk about the stock. If you are looking for something in particular, ask for assistance. I was quickly taken directly to the area and the drawers where the item I wanted was kept. If you just want to browse, you could do it for a while. They have a LOT of stuff. Electronics, pneumatics, cables, tools, old poker chips(I won’t spoil the story, you can ask), test equipment, power supplies, all sorts of things. If you have a craving for a 74LS08 that you need right now, this is the place to go. In a post-Radio Shack world, where most people might order from online electronics stores, this is a place where you can find pretty much anything you need, though you may need to ask for help, too. It is worth a visit if you are looking to start on an electronics project. If you can’t find something at AxMan, this is the next place to try. So why isn’t this five stars? Mainly because you will have trouble finding things on your own, especially if you are a first-time visitor.

ABC is in a nondescript little brick building and you can’t tell what it is from the outside. It’s row after row of electronics parts. If you like electronic parts and surplus, you will love this place. If you are married to someone who likes electronic parts but you don’t care for it, you will hate this place. Tip: Street parking only and you have to feed the parking meters.

Switches, transformoers, resistors of every wierd sort, oddball electronic counters, electronic crap you cannot ever imagine but wish you were smart enough that you could work into one of your ongoing projects. Sheets of plastic in perfect condition. Loads of stuff you never knew you needed. Halloween robots must shot here! Awesome place to browse, you’ll probably find something you can use or wish you coulld use.
