If zero stars were available I would give it. Christian counseling masquerading as mental health. Do not waste your time.

I have been seeing a provider at ACP for a couple of months. I have had a good experience there. Of course it all depends on your provider. I was hospitalized after I had been seeing my psychologist for about a month. After calling to cancel an appointment and telling them the reason she personally called me to see what was going on and how I was doing. 3 weeks later, when I was a week from my first post hospitalization appointment she called again just to make sure I was doing ok. I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment and the reception staff has always been pleasant. I haven’t been going long enough to tell if therapy is helping or not(especially since the hospital stay lasted 3 weeks out of the 2 months I’ve been going) but I definitely feel that my provider cares for me and wants to help. It’s always hard to find a good fit with a therapist and I am glad that I seem to have found one here at ACP.

Only go to ACP if it is your only choice. It is one step above the emergency room in terms of frustration. I used to go to ACP when I was in college and had a positive experience with them at that time. But when I returned and my old provider was no longer there, it seemed like the place had really gone downhill. Nobody there seems to care about what they are doing or care about their patients. From the receptionist, to the clinicians, to the doctors, they just don’t care. As a registered nurse myself, I found their bedside manner appalling. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first, then began to look for a new psychiatrist. The woman I saw at ACP didn’t even know my name and couldn’t seem to keep track of the medications I was taking. After 3 months and with my chart right in front of her, she continued to talk to me as if we had just met. Ugh. My advice is only go here if you can’t get in anywhere else and need your medication refilled. And while you’re there, get on a waiting list at another clinic.
