Very similar to the post from Dustin S, I too called to find out what was wrong with my dishwasher. They said a technician would be to my house between a two hour window and he was about an hour late. After walking into to my house and so much as barely winking at my dishwasher he fired out a $ 580 estimate to fix the washer. It took everything that I had to hold back the laughter as I was sure he was fucking with me. Once I realized he was serious my sole goal became to at least make sure the 95 $ that I was spending for him to be there was going to good use. So I made sure that he fully explained the part that was broke, its location, and of course how hard it is to get at and fix. So here we began a game of «two truths, one lie»… Luckily for me I felt like the lie was the massive amount of labor that was involved with replacing the piece so I ran with it. Turns out the piece he told me was the problem($ 60 piece that I had to order) and it was located where he said it was, but that was the extent of his truth telling. My friend and I unhooked the dishwasher, popped off the back piece and installed the part in 45 minutes. Machine works like a champ now and I saved myself $ 485. Sorry but $ 10 a minute is way to much for appliance repairs. This was in Minneapolis MNBTW
