Shrimp with lobster sauce… so good! Pork egg fu hung and fried rice are pretty exceptional, too.

Some of the best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. Strong flavors and homemade excellence. The wantons were great and the Lo mein was full of the right flavors. I’ll be going back. My son feels the same.

I’ve been coming here for years! If you like«American» Chinese food, this has to be the top place in the Metro. The service is always accurate and fairly quick with consistency in the food. I still get a kick out of people complaining about prices. I assume you are the same people that vote to increase taxes and want the minimum wage to go up to $ 15 per hours and wonder why things cost so much? Duh?? They do a great job here with operational excellence; plus it is a great family business. Congrats! One quick note: They have the best«American» chow mein here, but remember if you order chow mein at a authentic Chinese restaurant it is similar to Lo-mein. Cream cheese wontons and the chicken fried rices is also the bomb here!

I have been going here for over 20 years. I must say I make the trek(45mn) about once a month to make sure I get my fix. Best Kung Po I have had, and as previous reviewer said it is not typical, it has cashews instead of peanuts but why should the best be typical! Chow Mein is phenominal and so is Fried rice. I guess I could sit and list all things I like about this place.

Almost every week I wind up here at Asia. Over 25 years that I can remember a staple of the Heights community and a required place for eating when ever you are In the north east area. Personally I always get the Special Fried rice. Dine in or take out. You can not go wrong. Yet remember to call ahead for take out so your food will be ready for you.

I live around the corner from this place. It’s always freaked me out of trying this place, since hole in the wall asian food can be hit or miss. The food isn’t terrible, but it’s pretty cheap. It’s always odd being in here, since it looks like an old fast food place inside. If you are on the look for decent chinese food and are on a budget, I can safely recommend this location.

I love this place, I live in AZ and when I come home I always go to Asia for Chow Mein and Fried Rice. The portions are good and the price is pretty good. My parents go at least 3 times a month to get chow mein and friend rice.

I was recommended to this restaurant once by my sister-in-law and decided to stop in once with a date, and boy did I not regret it! The food here is very good and extremely low in price! The portions are extremely large and often stretch into 3 – 4 meals for me. I usually get the lo mein or chow mein and it’s delicious! Also if you can make it there for lunch it’s even better because then you get the large portions and also an appetizer. The won ton soup is amazing! I love the vegetables they put in it and the broth is the best. I just had won ton soup from another restaurant and was disappointed it didn’t even come close to the won ton soup served here. The service is great too! I believe it’s family ran and they tend to be very funy jubliant people. The older waitress actually would remember my date and I, since we went back there several time in same few weeks after eating here, oh and because it looks like I never eat my food because the portions are so large! She would allways poke fun at me for it too! Asia Chow Mein is a treasure and I hope the word of them spreads in NE Minneapolis because they sure earn their business.

Meh. The food was far from bad, but nothing about it is exceptional. I ordered a lunch combo Kung-po chicken. Fried rice was fine, not too greasy and flavorful enough. Kung-po chicken was different than I’ve had most places: cashews instead of peanuts, a thick brown gravy instead of a light spicy sauce, and loaded with water chestnuts. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but not what I was expecting. Service was friendly, but the whole thing was on the pricey side(8.25 for a combo that doesn’t include and eggroll). Like I said, «meh.»
