Had a Groupon for a massage and facial. I asked the tech where the restroom was and she said it was her first day and she would have to check. No, that is not exactly what you want to hear before laying down on a table for 90 minutes. It was a very poor experience. Even with the discount Groupon, it felt like I was paying way too much. Talked with the owner on my way out and she empathized with the situation, but it just felt like an unkept, dingy spa that I would not want to return to try again. The massage table had sheets on it that were old and the fabric was worn. These should be starched and fresh! Would much rather pay more elsewhere…

I’ve gotten spray tans by Devin in the past… Who I HIGHLY recommend. She’s awesome. If this was a review about her, I’d give a 5.
However, this is not about her so I will give the overall salon 1 star in customer service.
I tried to schedule an appointment with Devin earlier this week, I got the other spray tanner/​manager, Alyssa. She was rude when I said I wanted to schedule an appointment with Devin and not her. The first time I called she said she was busy and would call me back after she checked in someone. I never received a call. I then called back the next day. At that time I told Alyssa (who answered the phone) that she never called me back. She said she did (though I have a cell phone and NEVER received a message or a missed call). She then said she couldn’t ‘hear’ me and would need to call me back. She didn’t call me back. I then called 30 mins later and she hung up on me. I then called back and she said she couldn’t ‘hear’ me and would need to call me later to schedule. I finally was able to schedule an appointment with another employee. I find this unacceptable customer service.

How have I not reviewed this place yet?! I have been going to Body & Sol Tanspa for the past 4 years now. I first started going to get a «base tan» before a winter getaway to Puerto Rico, and I’ve remained a regular customer ever since. The place is very clean and cozy, the staff are friendly and don’t try to upsell you like many other tanning salons, and it’s never been so busy that I’ve had to wait for a bed.
I usually just buy a package of 5 – 10 sessions in their regular 20 minute beds (they also have 10-​minute beds and a standup bed), but I also love to treat myself to their custom spray tans. Devin is the best at spray tanning! She’s really sweet and professional, fast, and gives you an even, glowing tan that glows for 5 – 7 days (depending on how you care for your skin afterwards). The best part about the custom spray tans is they actually look natural, not orange at all. So if you shun the sun but want a tan for some other reason, such as a wedding or vacation, spray tanning is the way to go! I’ve never had any of their spa services there, but I would like to.
I know tanning is bad for my skin. I know this! But with suffering through 6 – 8 months of cold weather & gloomy skies each year (and the Seasonal Affective Disorder that accompanies it), spending a few minutes fake baking once or twice a week each winter provides an enormous boost to my mental health, so for me, the risk is worth the reward.

Today I redeemed the groupon deal that I had purchased a while ago. The groupon was for an «aqua polish body scrub and 30 min massage.» The title «aqua polish body scrub» had me thinking that it would be like a body scrub that would be applied to exfoliate skin, then would be washed off. Instead it was two coarse brushes used simultaneously to massage the skin. Since the brushes were coarse and my skin is dry from the winter, I thought lotion would be applied after. The description said hot, scented towels would be used but I didn’t receive this. The cooling eye treatment was just an aveda product that was applied, something you could easily do at home. The massage was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Moral of the story, read the description carefully so you know what to expect.
