I have been to this location a few times since relocating. I find this location to rate as average with overall business quality. I wrote a review about the previous location 1 ½ years ago, and I gave it three stars. Sadly, I am still seeing their old habits with this new location. I was hoping that they would improve their business habits upon relocating. I see that they have not learned anything between then and now. The biggest dilemma with this store is the prices of the materials, especially their used items. For being used, there is no reason why their prices should be as high as they are(example, a used Madonna CD for $ 16). Occasionally, I can find something that is reasonably priced. Their new material is beyond outrageously priced(example, a Prince CD for $ 22). I have never bought anything new from here for that reason. I find myself having to dig deep in order to find a good quality cheap item. For me to come here more often, this business must re-evaluate the prices of what they carry. On their behalf, they have a large selection of music and movies. Usually, I can count on them carrying what I am looking for. I can usually walk out of the store having bought something. Regarding their music selection, I often have difficulty finding the most interesting work from the individual artists. Instead, I end up finding only their minor and their worst works. Their selection is well organized, with some exceptions, and the overall store is clean and close to spotless. Their CD’s, vinyls, and DVD’s are easy to find. If they carry the item I am looking for, I can usually spot it within a short period of time(aside from the high prices). However, they still need improvement on arranging their discounted materials. I feel like they are randomly placed, which makes finding an individual item from there difficult. I could have done as well of a job just throwing them in the individual section. Their customer service is a hit and miss. There are some individuals who are friendly and willing to go out of their way to assist me. There are others who are not pleasant to be around and seem frustrated when asked for assistance. It is impossible to predict which end of the spectrum that I will get. I have found the overall customer service portion frustrating to handle. When I am in the area and want a good CD, vinyl, or DVD, I will only continue buying them here if I can find something reasonably priced by digging deep. I do not rank this business as my top priority for buying these means of entertainment.

The vinyl here is way overpriced. The CD selection is impressive… …if that means anything to anyone. Staff looks like they’d rather be anywhere else.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Minneapolis, MN
I went on a record store adventure last year, and I never made it over here until recently. Minneapolis has some awesome, unique record stores, but I always felt let down as a hip-hop fan. Often times, this genre just has a small row of limited bins. There are a few stores that provide more justice but Cheapo does it best. This place was bustling on a Saturday night with enthusiasts talking about their favorite artists, treasure hunters click-clacking through the cds, and some excited people trying to bee line their way to the record players up front to preview some tracks. This is my first stop if I want to find a record.
