I’ve visited Steve twice now, and each haircut has been exactly what I wanted. He really spends a lot of time on the cut, making sure it looks great. He’s a nice guy and fun to talk to as well. I usually do a short taper, so if that’s your style, I’ll save you the time of looking around for barbers in Minneapolis and just tell you to go to Circle H. Like others have said, schedule an appointment because he stays busy.

He’s like the fucking Bob Ross of cutting hair. Just when you think he’s done and it’s perfect, he continues on. Steve is a total perfectionist and a good dude. He’d get five stars if he were not always running behind; a small price to pay.

Are you looking for an old-timey barbershop, where you can get a haircut done by someone with attention to detail? Circle H is your place. Steve, the sole-proprietor of the shop, is a friendly, professional, classic barber with a high level of attention to detail. Steve has been in business for about ten years, and uses classic barber techniques to give you a haircut that gets noticed. The cost of a cut is $ 25, and he’ll trim your beard for an extra $ 5. He takes walk-ins, but I would recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment. He is closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you walk-in, he will be honest about whether he can fit you in, and you can always wait across the street at Bryant Lake Bowl over a beer and some food. Great location, great service, great barber. Highly recommended.

One of the best haircuts I’ve had in a while. Steve’s a nice guy, easy to talk to. Great attention to detail. He did a straight edge on the neck after he was finished with the cut. A very clean fade cut. Make sure to call for an appointment though. I think he does walk ins, but it seemed difficult to find a time to get in because he was pretty booked up. Probably safer to call ahead for an appointment than to get there and realize he’s booked the rest of the day. A regular haircut at this place is now going for $ 25. It’s a pretty good value though considering the attention to detail and overall quality of the cut.

Steve was my go-to barber when I lived in Minneapolis. I have recently moved out of the Twin-Cities, and I definitely miss getting my haircut by Steve. He pays attention to every detail and I’ve never gotten more complements on my haircut than I did with Steve’s cuts. His prices honestly cannot be beat. The only issue is that he does take quite a while to finish the job, but it’s worth the wait to get such a quality haircut. He does a great straight edge shave on your neck like every great barber should. If you’re looking for a barber in Mpls, Steve is your guy.

My hair is thinning, graying, not the curls or body it used to have. When Steve cuts it, for some reason, which I don’t really understand yet, it feels and acts better(what are you talking about…) I’ve been to Steve 3x now, and won’t be going anywhere else. My haircut grows out so well and says a lot about how evenly and precisely Steve works on your head. He is a calming, caring influence in my day — yes, the hot lather of cream on your neck is a great ending to a wonderful experience. Call ahead if you want to make sure you get into the chair when you need to. He’s getting more business cause of me.

I am a guy, I have longer hair. I have gotten 50 bad haircuts over the years, I feel like I switch, every time, looking for someone who will just do it right. Steve is that guy. On a hot day, you get a cold towel, on a cold day, you get a hot towel. A Neck shave as well. Best hair cut I ever got, great old-timey barber shop atmosphere, I highly recommend.

The atmosphere is great, and the guy truly knows how to cut men’s hair, however he didn’t exactly cut my hair how I asked him to. I’m going for the classic side-part, and my hair needed to be about an inch longer on top so it would lay flat. I told the barber that I just wanted the sides cleaned up and that I didn’t want him to take any length off on the top. He trimmed up my sides exactly how I wanted them, but he started working his way up to the top of my head. By the time I noticed he was taking significant length off of the top it was to late to say anything(my hair would have been uneven). When he was finished, my hair was hardly long enough to part. The haircut was actually pretty good, it just wasn’t what I wanted. It will now take me several weeks to get the length back to where I had it, and a few more on top of that to get it where I want it. He did finish up with a warm straight razor shave on the back of my neck though, which was a nice touch.
