Clean as a Whisker

I heard they moved to a new location in mtka.
I have been here twice first time awesome second time not so much
Have not been back but it is hard to find a great groomer in this area… But after 3 very bad haircuts the last one being Aquatropics this place is a dream…

Jen and her mom do fabulous work! We have been going to them for almost 7 years and my pup continues to get compliments every time we go for a walk. I love this place and am so glad we started here… Other groomers just don’t measure up!

Did they close?! I have tried calling them several times and the phone is disconnected. I sure hope they didn’t close, CAAW is fantastic. Our pup loved it there.

My husband and I have been bringing our dogs here for almost five years. We’ve moved all around town in those five years, but we’ve never changed the groomer we go to. I have never had a bad or even a negative experience with this place. Their availability is good, and they’re great at calling me back when I leave messages about scheduling an appointment. Jen (the owner, I imagine), has been there since day one, and has been there every time I’ve brought my dogs in. I gather that she loves what she does, and I pretend that she has a special appreciation of my dogs. One of the first things she ever said about my beagle was that he was a «day maker.» I thought it was one of the nicest compliments he had ever received.
My dogs are short hair, so I can’t comment on how well they cut hair, but they do a great job with the bath, teeth, ears, and nails. They also do anal gland expressions, which sounds gross, but is sometimes essential in the world of canines. My dogs have never gotten sick after being there (i.e., kennel cough) and have never gotten fleas or anything. What they do leave with, however, is a cute bandana, usually seasonally appropriate, that always inspires me to take their picture.
I love that I don’t have to worry about employee turnover at CAAW and that my dogs get to know the people who work there and that the people get to know my dogs. I really appreciate the fact that they know my dogs’ names when I bring them in. It’s the only place where I can say «the usual,» and they know what that means. Very cool.

I am so happy to have found Clean as a Whisker. There were few shops that were convenient to my home, and one would not groom a Siberian Husky (small dogs only). When I picked up my dog, she was all neat, tidy, and happy. Jenny and the girls are great with the dogs. The shop is Clean as a Whisker too. I have been there twice now and had great customer service both times. When my dog had an accident on the sidewalk in front, they were quick to clean up. The girls are friendly, professional, good to my dog, keep a tidy place of business, and they are reasonably priced. My highest recommendation for Clean as a Whisker!

We got a new puppy from the Humane Society a month ago and we took her to Clean as a Whisker for her first haircut yesterday. She had a lot of matting and veryyy long fingernails but not any more thanks to this place! The cut is AWESOME and exactly what we wanted… and we didn’t even know how to properly explain what we wanted. She also had a tiny little bow in her hair and it was adorable.
The shop closes at 6 officially, but we were able to pick up our little one as late as 6:30, which was an added bonus. The owner has dogs of her own, really seems to care about her work and dogs and general and even gave our girl a free first toothbrush cleaning (typically $ 5) because there used to be a coupon but I hadn’t heard about it… $ 5 savings is great news. As the other reviewer said, yes, they were not cheap, but not unreasonable by any means.
This place is a little out of the way for us, but worth it. We will totally be back!

When my dogs start smelling a little bit doggish, I know that it’s time to take them to Clean as a Whisker. I was referred to this place by someone who had two small fluffy dogs — mine are huge — so I wasn’t entirely sure about what to expect (would mine come home with pink ribbons in their ears?), but they did a fabuous job, and the dogs each have looked and smelled great when I picked them up.
And they seemed fairly happy, too. The salon is clean and the groomers are incredibly professional and sweet.
They groom cats, too, though I haven’t put them to the test on that one yet. My cat’s much grouchier about being groomed, and I don’t want them to hate me this early into using their business.
They’re a bit pricey, which is why I went with four stars, but the cost is probably worth it. I like knowing my pups are in good hands.
