Cork Dorks is a great wine shop for someone like me. I like wine, but I don’t know a lot about it. Relying on a friendly, knowledgeable expert (or dork in this case) really helps me find a bottle of wine that I will enjoy without spending a pile of money.
One of the major advantages of a smaller wine shop is the owners know the wines they have and they select them very carefully, which I find generally means that I pay less for good bottles of wine because they don’t stock mediocre bottles, and also they can help me find a bottle of wine that matches my tastes.
The majority of the wine in this shop is between $ 10 — $ 20.
When I’m hunting for beer, I want a acres of product to choose from, but walking through the isles of a big wine barn is bewildering because I don’t speak French or Italian and I don’t know valleys or vineyards.
