It is always busy during the lunch hour, food is your standard tacos, burrito, quesadillas fare. Always plenty of food at a great price point with the combos. Nothing fantastic about the food but a good quick lunch choice while downtown.

If you’re looking for a quick meal during the weekday for lunch. This is the place to go. My coworker had Crazy Taco literally three days last week and wouldn’t stop raving so I had to see what this place was about. They’re pretty fast and they make your order for you right in front of you(chipotle style). The choices range from tacos to burritos to quesadillas and they have various«combos» to choose from. Everything is very inexpensive and the portions are pretty large. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl the other day. It was mediocre. The ingredients were fresh and I liked being able to customize my order, but the food lacked flavor other than spice. Stay away from the jalapeños if you don’t like spicy !!! It was also cold by the time I sat down to eat it. I’m thinking this is because it was towards the end of the lunch rush. My recommendation would be to go earlier than later. Like around 11:15 as opposed to 12:45. My coworker got the taco salad and cheese quesadilla combo and thought it was pretty good. I probably wouldn’t choose to come back here unless I’m seriously craving a quesadilla and want fast food that is «fresh».

Crazy Tacos is a good place that does not quite live up to the hype. The menu is standard taco/burrito/quesadilla fare however the lunch combos are nice to taste more than one item. The biggest selling point here is the price point, my order came to $ 7.77 and included a burrito, an enchilada, and pop. In the competitive skyway lunch market Crazy Tacos is solid but not a top choice.

It seems to be popular and there is always a line but I just don’t get the appeal. The people working there are very friendly. But the food… –the meat was way over-processed and salted wayyyyy to much –the veggie bowl is ok, you can make it at home and all(or go to chipotle and get a legit one for .50 more) –their guacamole is often more brown then green –the cheese quesadia was mushy and tasteless Skip this and go to chipotle.

Ok… here’s the deal… this place has decent tacos and burritos. It’s nothing to get super excited about… but it’s not a place you should completely write off either. It’s located in downtown Minneapolis, skyway level. I work about 7 blocks aways, so it’s a hike for me. I recently stopped here for team lunch after a co-worker mentioned Crazy Taco… the name itself had me curious. The menu is simple and is catered to the wandering office worker… who needs a fast, tasty meal for under $ 10. I landed on the chicken burrito and beef hard shell taco combo(includes a sugary bev as well). The ingredients are fresh, assembled quickly right in front of you and you have a couple options for toppings. The flavor is kind of bland… maybe that’s just me used to the ‘national chains’…but it wasn’t memorable. Just a simple lunch for a decent price. If you’re in a pinch and have a need for tacos, go for it!

Crazy Tacos is one of my regular lunch-hour choices. It’s a no-frills burrito joint with good food and good people. The Veggie burrito(comes with chips, salsa and quacamole) is plenty of food at a good price. Worth a try.

I hate to keep lopping stars off a place I once held in such high regard. I returned for the first time in about 5 mos for a taco salad. Since my last review was about chicken being bland, I was curious about the new-looking chicken. It was less borg-cube shaped chicken. Alas, the chicken was way too salty(mouth burning salty) and had the fake smoke flavor that McDonalds and other fast food chicken has. The salad still has the great corn, olive and onion toppings, but the chicken kinda ruined one of my lunch staples.

Very reasonable, efficient, and filling quick bites for lunch in downtown skyway. There are lots of stores open for lunch at skyway but I date to say Crazy Tacos is quite compatible to Chipotle. Although their name is ‘crazy Tacos’, My favorite is their burritos-smothered!!! Especially when we have cold weather, I get real craving for the smothered sauce with melting cheese on top!!! Num num num! I like many things about the place like taste, portion size, speed(critical for those have only 30minute break!!), cleanliness, service etc. I appreciate how reasonable price they offer. Well worth the money you paid for!!!

I finally tried these loco tacos and it was A-OK. They have a lot of affordable combos, which is cool. To start off they advised me that they’d run out of rice and beans, which I thought odd, but they stuffed my burrito full of other stuff and it was pretty good. The ‘hot’ sauce actually had some flavor to it, to my surprise, and it moistened up what was otherwise a somewhat dry burrito. The taco I got with my combo was OK, but stuff kept falling out of it and it was hard to eat. It’s nice that they include a drink in the combo price, so they’re not trying to screw you like a lot of places and not include a drink. I felt somewhat obligated to tip since all the workers are right there looking at you. That shot the price up a bit but overall Crazy Tacos is pretty affordable. The food tastes like they just bought a bunch of stuff at the grocery store and made it up themselves, which is not necessarily a criticism. You may be better off at Baja Sol or something, though.

I had a salad in a tortilla bowl. For the price, it really irked me that they didn’t serve asada style beef with the bowl. Instead, they served the taco type ground beef with the bowl(cheaper and greasier). The portions were decent, but the quality just isn’t on par with the price. For the same price, there are definitely better alternatives in the immediate area.

Used to have lunch here all the time when I worked in Minneapolis. I would get a burrito bowl and a side of pinto beans(with lots of hot sauce in them). I’ve tried to recreate the beans at home, but mine won’t taste as good.

I eat here once a week as it has good, fresh, Mexican food. Very friendly owner and staff. Located on the skyway level downtown. Good value specials. A trek fom my office, but definitely worth the walk.

Swayed by the name alone, a friend and I agreed to embark on a 10 block walk from the office to Crazy Tacos. I am not familiar with the northeastern skyways of downtown but we managed to find it nestled among an alley of lesser known(to me) non-chain lunch joints. A huge menu is posted outside of the entrance(see picture… and no, those guys weren’t posing for me, just amazing timing!), along with several other smaller versions for your review. I was quite honored to see«The Vegetarian’s Menu»! I really appreciate a lunch counter that is organized such that the patrons can move efficiently and without confusion — therefore, I would like to thank Crazy Tacos for their layout. I proceeded to put in my order and was a little put-off by the presence of microwaves… and the utilization of microwaves to heat my enchilada and taco. I just played a little mental game to ignore the microwaves… the food was great and the workers were kind! The seating area is sunny and bright with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides… makes for a surprisingly nice place to linger for a while with a friend or have a solo lunch! The only crazy thing that I noticed here was that they are using all disposable containers and utensils for dine-in patrons. That, to me, is crazy because it’s bad for Mother Earth. So, Crazy Tacos, if you’re reading, which I don’t think you are, would it be possible for you to get some reusable service ware? I waited to write this review until I could be sure I was«in the clear» — 4 hours later and I don’t have the usual Mexican hangover!
