Two separate times I made a trip to Minneapolis and needed my hair done on an emergency basis. Both times I called to make an appt and whomever I spoke to on the phone was professional and courteous. I was able to arrange an appt very quickly for a hot comb/press and quick style. The salon was a busy place, and is divided from the male barber shop. My appt was made with Johanna Burston. She was always juggling me and another person, but it wasn’t ever a long lag between me and the next person. She is the attentive stylist who takes pride in what she does. She wants to see a beautiful product walk out the door. She was one of the main reasons I came back the second time and she will be the reason I go back next time. She is better than my stylist that I have now! Only thing is its not just her, all the ladies seem to work like she does. They all appear to move and work as one and like they TRULY love what they do… Good to see in a business, that is another reason I went back… they are a fun bunch of ladies.

My husband came here to get a haircut. The owner(older man) cut his hair. My husband hated the cut so much that he bought a hat after he left. The owner did not cut my husband’s hair the way my husband wanted it, and he also spoke to my husband in a condescending way. Not only did my husband hate his haircut, he also felt very disrespected. If you go here, do NOT let the owner cut your hair.

The service here is terrible, don’t expect to get your hair done at the time of your appointment because you will be very disappointed. One of the hairdressers and her client were blatantly making fun of me while I was sitting down, waiting for hours, minding my own business. As for the cut, it was decent but definitely not worth the irritation. Hairdressers ate also very pious. If you want friendly and non judgemental service, this is not your salon.
