A recent find, and very helpful as I was looking for some basics before leaving on a trip. Prices are high, but fit and fabrics are excellent. I’ll be back!

I was interested in buying my wedding invitations through Epitome Papers, which is in the stationary section of the store. I emailed the store with some questions about the invitations I wanted to order, and their response was riddled with grammatical and punctuation errors. I was ordering at the last minute and didn’t have time to re-order if there was a printing error. I ended up ordering my invites online and loved the result. On the up side, the printing and paper quality of their stationary is high. It’s expensive, but a nice place to pick up personal stationary.

Very cute little store. I do love me a paper store! Lots of little knick-knacks as well as a wide array of stationery, pens, party supplies(the big lotus-flower birthday candle is so rad!), etc. But one thing is lacking — FUNNY cards. There are some cute birthday cards here and there… a few that might make you crack a smile… but nothing actually funny or quirky. That’s what I love the most about paper stores! So I was kind of bummed out. There were, however, some funny books… like the one I posted a photo of. Ha ha!

Maybe it’s the season, maybe the economy, or maybe a little of both, but I’ve got to say the sales right now rock. And my credit card is feeling the love. Epitome isn’t one of my usual go-to boutiques. Don’t get me wrong, they have very nice stuff, but if I’m going to be dropping a lot of cash, I want the items I buy to be a little different, special, or funky. And Epitome’s selection never resonates that loudly with me. Older women and more conservative types seem to love it, though. But when there’s a sign saying 80% off, hell, I’ll take a look anywhere. And you know what, I’m glad I did. I just got a really nice Ellie Tahari suede jacket for a steal… a steal I say. So go grab your steals and deals before they go way…
