My husband and I had to visit this clinic on a recent family vacation. It was a huge waste of time and money — Dr. Roth(his first name is actually«Meghabhuti» — you can’t make this up!) was condescending and made a rush diagnosis that turned out to be completely off-base once we got back to California and got my husband to a real doctor. The previous reviewer PERFECTLY described his«sotto voice» and«deeply concerned tone». And my husband wasn’t suffering from some exotic illness — turned out to be his arthritis flaring up and a major case of dehydration. Dr. Roth blew us off(maybe because it was close to closing time?) and sent my husband on his way with a prescription for some weird medicine that did nothing for his symptoms(not surprising, since his diagnosis was out in left field!) and caused him to crap his pants in our hotel room! But don’t tell my husband I told you that. When prescribing stuff like this, a heads-up to the patient about side effects might be in order.

After a week on a sulfa drug, I had a mysterious high fever and a rash everywhere. Two different Express Healthcare nurses tried 4 times to take my blood, but no one could find my veins. The doctor said that the sulfa drug would not have caused a rash, and that I might have **a viral infection**(spoken sotto voce in a deeply concerned tone). I needed a blood test to find out. So they transferred me, very scared at this point, to the emergency room. The ER doc took my blood effortlessly. He confirmed that this was, in fact, an allergic reaction to the drug, which *does* cause a rash. My insurance policy permits only one doctor visit per day, so I’m footing the bill for an ER visit that would have been unnecessary had the staff at Express Healthcare been marginally competent.
