First, prospective patients at Fairview Clinics — Riverside should know that this clinic is being run as a business. You will get as much attention to your medical needs as if you were to call Target. You are an income generating unit. Second, you should know that the information on the web site is false, there are no same day appointments. When I called recently, I was told that I should go to an urgent care or emergency room facility if I felt my need was urgent. The earliest appointment available was 2 days later. Third, don’t expect to be treated like a human being. Your call will be answered by a person on a phone bank who’s only purpose is to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. Fairview Clinics uses a «triage» nurse who decides whether your issues are important. Note, «triage», a term used in the military to decide whether to just let a wounded soldier die or to provide medical care. My family were long time patients of Riverside Family Physicians, a wonderful caring practice. In stark contrast, Fairview Clinics motto should be, «we don’t care, we don’t have to». Go elsewhere if you want real medical care.
